The Knicks will announce today that they'll open their preseason Garden schedule in October by hosting Maccabi Tel Aviv, the European powerhouse that features former Georgia Tech point guard Will Bynum.
Maccabi Tel Aviv faced both NBA finalists last fall, playing the Spurs in Paris and the Cavs in Cleveland. Maccabi also played Phoenix and Toronto.
The Israeli squad, which also boasts Rockets second-rounder Liof Eliyahu, won its 47th Israeli title and has captured five EuroLeague crowns.
