Who stays? Who goes?
This thread could be fodder in a matter of days if Zeke pulls off another blockbuster. But, if it was up to you, who's gotta go...
Curry
James
Morris
Randolph
Lee
Rose
Richardson
Jeffries
Balkman
Chandler
Nichols
Crawford
Jones
Marbury
Robinson
Collins
Dickau
Here's who I say must go... James, Jeffries, Robinson

Re: Who stays? Who goes?
Its not that easy just to say who you think should go.
It depends on who or what is being offered to NY

Stop Saying Nate Robinson should go... I mean what the hell Im tired of it. HEs a solid role player of the bench that can shoot better than most of the knicks on this team. He only needs to mature but really on the knicks....WHO DOESNT???
Jeffries,Rose,James, Dickau

Re: Who stays? Who goes?
Its picking between Balkman, Nichols, and chandler- something i really dont want to do, so if i was isiah, id trade fred jones, Dan dickau, lee for Artest for a lineup that looks something like this"
Marbury/Collins/Robinson
Richardson/Crawford/Jones
Artest/Balkman/Chandler/Nichols
Randolph/Thomas
Curry/Haywood/Morris
So i ve heard that Washington is putting up Brendan Haywod and Etan Thomas for trade.
Etan Thomas + Brendan Haywood for Malik Rose, Jerome James a 2nd rounder
WAS would do it because Etan and Haywood have caused nothing but trouble for them and they seem to not get along with others SO Why not brign them to NY?!
good looking team on paper.

I agree with your point about his shooting the ball well, but he's also a blocked shot waiting to happen. I appreciate Nate's energy and extraordinary skill, but on a team with a glut of guards right now, I feel he's the odd man out. I feel Mardy has potential to be a more valuable player than Nate so I'd pick him as Marbury's backup. Certainly I'd rather have Nate than Dickau, but Nate has much more trade value than Dickau. And someone's gotta go.

Re: Who stays? Who goes?
Considering that Demetris Nichols was the 53rd pick, he has to have the slimmest chance of making the team. Dickau is also on the outside looking in, since he has a $2.8M expiring contract and is inferior to Marbury, Robinson and Crawford.
I think the depth chart will look like this...
PG: Stephon Marbury...Jamal Crawford...Nate Robinson
SG: Quentin Richardson...Fred Jones...Mardy Collins
SF: Renaldo Balkman...Jared Jeffries...Wilson Chandler
PF: Zach Randolph...David Lee...Malik Rose
C: Eddy Curry...Randolph Morris...Jerome James

53rd?
53rd, undrafted, .....who the hell cares? You may end up being right but the fact is if the kid can play, he should stick. Thomas makes mistakes. We had Matt Carroll and cut him. Think he would have gotten some minutes? Plenty of guys drafted late have become stars, which means that the "experts" misjudged them.
I have nothing against Nate except that he doesn't disrupt defensively the way he should and he is far too immature. If he corrected those, he'd be a much better player than Boykins, for example. He could have a real value since he can shoot and score and presents a tough matchup for opponents. Its up to him.

Re: Who stays? Who goes?
Jeffries heads the top of the list, he's truly garbage. Rose, Novelty Nate, Q or Crawford for a real shooter.
C - Curry/Morris/James
PF - Zach/Lee/Rose
SF - Balkman/Q/Jeffries/Chandler
SG - Crawford/Nichols/Jones
PG - Steph/Collins/Nate/Dickau
But actual rotation need being
C - Curry/Zach
PF - Zach/Lee
SF - Balkman/Q
SG - Crawford/Q/Collins
PG - Steph/Collins
9th man being Nichols or Morris
Why does everyone hate Dickau, he's actually has some game. He's a better PG than Nate, a serviceable player if he ever gets minutes.

Re: Who stays? Who goes?
my best guess is the 2 expiring deals and malik rose in a consolidation for a max-like deal for a player who is overpaid for that amount but a decent player for lets say the mle.
some1 like wally Z.
