Did we have the chance?

If the Knicks never made the Eddy Curry Trade did we have a chance at getting two of these 4 players: 7.0 Andrea Bargnani, 6.11 LaMarcus Aldridge, 7.0 Greg Oden, and 6.9 Keven Durant, to go along with Frye, Lee, Nate, and Balkman?

Would the Bad play of using just Jerome James as our Starting Center make us a Lottery Team for two straight seasons to have an upcomming young Frontcourt line with the young Players above?
Would we be building a Future Winning Team with those players?

Re: Did we have the chance?

If you google "NBA Lottery", it shows you the exact amount of "Chance" that each team has to land the top pick.

Never worked that way. The odds are weighted in favor of the teams with the poorest records.

Yet, the team with the worst record usually never wins the lottery. That tells you that no matter how bad you suck, there will be no gaurantee of improvement coming from a high lottery choice. Besides, guys like Durant and Aldridge have not proven anything besides being players with alot of potential to get better. Curry and Randolph have proven they can play on this level and still are young enough to get better.

Don't disagree

I simply said that it was weighted in favor of the worst teams. Good to have you back. Ready for some serious disagreements coming soon? I've been sharpening my wit all summer.....got it up to dull.
