I would not look for athletic ability, shooting ability or defensive acumen. I would look for whoever will be able to replace the current GM/coach best. It is clearly the position the Knicks are lacking at most...

You definitely need to blow up the back court, and get a pass first point guard. Also, either Eddy Curry or Zebo need to go.
