Your 2009-2010 New York Knicks

This is the thread where you explain how you get your team in 2009-2010..

first trade Jamal Crawford for Kwame Brown
Why: Craw is a good triangle point guard and Brown is an alright athletic bench bigman that can have a much smaller contract.

Trade two
Zach Randolph and David Lee and Nate Robinson for Andres Noicioni, Tyrus Thomas, Chris Duhon, and top 7 protected 2008 Draft pick
Why: The bulls are desperate for a post presence.. The bulls get Lee to replace Thomas as the hustle, do it all guy (albeit with much less potential).. Randolph scores beside Wallace/noah. The knicks get a solid 6th man type in Nocioni, and then gets Tyrus who could be dynamite beside the team's draft selections.

Trade 3: Eddy Curry for Marvin Williams and Zaza Pauchulia
Why: Gives the team a good athlete in Marvin and a backup center of the future in Zaza.. Curry gives the Hawks their missing piece (a center and Law/JJ/Jsmith/Hordord/Curry become a pretty potent team

Let Marbury's contract expire, jone's expire etc.

Draft Pick.. Bulls improve with Randolph and pick 8th overall.

NY pick is 2nd overall

Minnesota selects Beasley
NY picks Derrick Rose with the 2nd rounder
Seattle selects OJ Mayo
Miami selects Donte Greene
NY trades up with Memphis and gives the rights to renaldo balkman and the 8th pick to memphis in exchange for the 5th pick. The Knicks select DeAndre Jordan from Texas A & M
Philadelphia selects Jerryd Bayless
Sacremento selects Nicolas Batum
Memphis selects Eric Gordon

Also Draft night, Ny Trades Nocioni and Wilson Chandler for the rights of Kyle Korver and Rodney carney.
Why: the 76ers reportedly love nocioni last offseason, and this opens up room for their young SF Thaddeus Young as Nocioni can play several positions. Carney adds athleticism and Korver gives the team some outside shooting

The knicks become

Rose/Duhon
Q/Korver/Jones
Williams/Carney/Jeffries
Thomas/Brown
Jordan/Brown/James

The team has a basis there and would be as athletic as a team has ever been with freaks like rose, carney, thomas, williams, brown, and Jordan.

Then when Marbury's contract expired there could be another key acquisition..
