The biggest cheers of late seem to be reserved for a visiting team. Several members of the Giants have been stopping by Madison Square Garden lately. Plaxico Burress, R.W. McQuarters, Aaron Ross and Steve Smith were on celebrity row Monday to see the Knicks and Celtics less than 24 hours removed from winning an NFC title in Green Bay. Each player received a standing ovation. "You definitely hear it," Jamal Crawford said. "You'd have to be numb not to hear that.

76ers:

The 76ers are receiving a boost from their young guys. Coach Maurice Cheeks used a group featuring Lou Williams, Rodney Carney, Andre Iguodala and rookies Thaddeus Young and Jason Smith to start the second quarters of Friday's game in Boston and again Monday against visiting Indiana.
