Summer League recruits that could make a big difference in one of our most weakest areas on the team.
SG: Morris Almond, Rice, 6'6, 215lbs
SG: Joe Crawford, Kentucky, 6'5", 210lbs
These are 2 SG that could be tough in the NBA....only if they get a chance to play alongside of the same PG. Their biggest weakness at the NBA level is not being able to mesh with the same lineup of teammates on a steady basis. They are long term players with long term teammates which has never been apart of this Knick organization.
This is the biggest reason why I do not like the 2010 Plan for a rebuilding team (plus knowing the last player Walsh signed to a Max contract).
It's just another reason to........
Mixing the lineup "up" each season with new different players, and not noticing the players that have great chemistry together by trading the player (Frazier, Sugar Ray, Ray Williams, Cartwright, Mark Jackson, Bernard King, Starks, Ewing, Camby, Sprewell, Ward, KVH, Kurt Thomas, Ariza, and David Lee) that do have great chemistry with 4 to 8 teammates....only shows me an organization that designs it's team to fail each season.
Duhon and Nate had a decent first season "together" covering the PG position.
Our organization do not want to give the two players a second season together to show improvement.
David Lee and Wilson Chandler showed a decent first season "together" covering the PF and SF position.
Our organization do not want to give the two players a chance to show a second season of improvement to lift Eddy Curry trade value when they lifted Zach Randolph trade value with more wins then losses in their first season together.
