Sweetney activated. Vranes waived


I don't agree with waiving vranes, I don't see the reasoning to be honest, his salary was little and Matt Carol is gone.

However I love the fact that he gave sweetney some play time.


My question is, why not Lampe too?

Could be that the Knicks are ready to make a 2 for 1 deal.

Or it just could be that Thomas saw that Vranes was a talentless stiff, and didn't want to waste any time getting him off the roster.

There are other options out there besides Matt Carroll, I don't know why so many people were high on him. New blood doesn't = good blood.

The Knicks need an athletic SG, not another shooter. DerMarr Johnson is available. He's a former lottery pick, and while he really didn't develop, he's 6'9, can play both swing spots, and is athletic.

If he can trade harrington for a sg lampe can be on the active roster. I cant stand seeing him just rot on the bench, I know the kid is dying to get some pt. Maybe thomas will demand that lampe gets some pt. We HAVE TO see what the kid has before we trade him or just let him rot out his contract on the bench.

Sweetney may be chunky, but spoon looks like he broke into a Krispy Kreme store ate every donut in there, then just lied around until training camp.

Seriously that dude looks like he drinks Milk Duds, and unwinds after a hard days work with a tall glass of triple cheeseburger.
