View Poll Results: Should the Knicks trade Charlie Ward & Lavor Postell for Lamond Murray & Bimbo Coles?

Yes, then we could trade Spree for Van Exel, and get rid of one of our mediocre PGs! 3 50.00%
No, I hate Lamond Murray! 3 50.00%

Lamond Murray to the Knicks?

This trade totally works:

Lamond Murray and Bimbo Coles to the Knicks; Charlie Ward and Lavor Postell to the Cavs

Postell's contract is up at the end of the 2002-03 season (it's a league minimum contract, anyway), and Ward's contract expires at the end of the 2003-04 season. Murray's contract doesn't expire until the end of the 2005-06 season, so he needs to go.

Ward gives the team another PG option, which means that the team can stop haggling with the terrible Rod Strickland, while Murray gives the Knicks a replacement SF if/when Spree gets traded somehow for Nick Van Exel.

Great trade for both teams.

Lamond Murray is lazy and has a bad attitude. I would rather have Spree,Postell, and Ward than lazy Murray,Washed-up and mediocre PG Coles, and Van Exel. Van Exel and Murray arent going to bring us a title and they arent exactly young'ns with big upside. So in a word, no thanks. Its time to rebuild this team.

Hold on--nobody said that Van Exel and Murray are going to bring you guys a title. No matter what happens over the next few weeks, this Knicks team will be lucky to win more than 30 ballgames. But you don't rebuild in New York, don't you know that? Knicks fans pay a ton of money for Knicks tickets--you think they're going to pay to see a team that is admittedly rebuilding? You gotta give yr fans hope.

Also, if Scott Layden were interested in rebuilding, do you think he would've made that draft-day Antonio McDyess trade? OF COURSE NOT.

Besides, the Knicks have so many terrible longterm contracts that they cannot possibly move, rebuilding is not an option, ANYWAY.

You guys need to do SOMETHING about the two most important positions on the floor, point guard and center. Right now, you're looking at either Charlie Ward or Howard Eisley at PG and the notoriously undersized Kurt Thomas and the notoriously mediocre Michael Doleac at C. Scott Layden WILL do SOMETHING. Will he do something incredibly stupid? OF COURSE! He always has and he always will!

I never said that these trades were GOOD trades for the Knicks, but that doesn't mean that they won't happen!

I attend 2 or 3 Knicks games a year so yes I know how expensive the tickets are for Knicks games even in the blue seats where you can find me... I read the Ny post every day and listen to WFAN in NY all the time so yes I am aware the Knicks dont rebuild. Im also aware that because Dolan and co. would never rebuild the Knicks from scratch that my Knicks are going to be mediocre for about 30 years. That doesnt mean I cant express on a message board that I dont want sorry, lazy, pathetic Lamond Murrayand the fact that I WANT THE KNICKS TO REBUILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure it is. Let the current ridiculous contracts run out(Travis Knight,Houston,Anderson etc..) and STOP SIGNING MORE MEDIOCRE PLAYERS TO RIDICULOUS CONTRACTS... I think we are still paying Longley and LJ!!!! PATHETIC!!!
