Case gym Tuesday at 7pm. Will be a good conference road test against BU. Need to play with the same level of intensity on defense as Albany game and take care of the basketball on offense. Our big men will be key in this game- they need to step up when Irving/Watson get into the lane (which they will, let's not pretend they won't) and on offense hopefully we can get shots inside and wear down the Terriers. Need to make sure Papale and Robinson are defended closely as well from 3.

Should be a good game. Sam- don't know yet whether I can grab food/beer before the game. Our nanny is out of the country right now so I might be going with the fam. Will let you know. We should do that at some point though, it's pretty long overdue at this point.

I've never seen us not bring intensity against BU. A UNH or a Binghamton? Definitely. But not being ready to play BU? I haven't seen it.

BU is probably our true rival in mens basketball, and given this is the last time we'll be playing them on Comm Ave for who knows when again, I can't imagine we don't bring the effort and intensity.

There's a lot of different ways we can lose this game, but I don't believe not being ready to play will be one of them.

I'd be very disappointed if this was it for BU-UVM. Remember, when they were in different hockey conferences for many years, they still met every year in what was usually the home opener for one school or the other. Maybe they could have a similar arrangement in hoops, hopeful alternating with the NU game (so home-UVM, road-NU then home-NU, road UVM in alternating years). That was the arrangement with UVM & RPI most years in hockey.

I would hope that BU would bring the attitude of a wounded animal backed into a corner...but who knows what their mindset will be. Do they think they have nothing to play for now? Will they just pack it in? I really would like to see them fight & claw all year to try and get back into the race and I'm sure the coaching staff will try to instill that in them, but will it work?

This game will give us a pretty good gauge because if they lose this one, they can kiss the regular season title goodbye...

Even if they blow the regular season title, BU should be pretty motivated to get into any postseason tournament, even the CBI or CIT. They have to go at least 9-5 from here out to be even eligible. Dropping another home game this quickly would really put them on the brink.

I think there's a decent chance BU continues series with UNH, UVM, Albany, Hartford and Maine. The most important one to hang onto is UNH because of proximity and the number of BU students from that state.

UMBC, Bing and Stony Brook are far enough that they likely don't want series with BU anyway.

Stony Brook is almost exactly the same distance from Agganis Arena as Orono - a lot closer (though the same time) if you use one of the ferries.

I would like a player like him as well but nothing I said was wrong. He never should of been a top 100. He had 7 to's. It was prolly his worst game of the year. He will still be on the all-rookie team.

He had a horrible game like I said and he never should of been a top 100 player. What an idiot statement by me. If he was top 100 player he would have no problem going by Sandro. Sandro is a decent defender at best and below average most nights.

Vermont struggling to make shots. We've missed too many FT's thus far as well. Credit to BU's defense though, they're doing a good job of doubling and contesting passes and shots.
