No. Scottie Randall missed 2 on the other end with 1.6 left. I suspect that Lee and Pierre wear the same number and that foul got credited to the wrong team by mistake there (edit: I am wrong on that part though). So on their play-by-play it should be foul on Pierre w/ 2 seconds left, 2 misses by Randall, foul on Lee with 1 second left, 2 misses by Benson, fould on Dayton (don't remember by whom), 2 misses by O'Brien.

Thanks. It's even more screwed up now.
Shows Benson shooting 2 at the 2 second mark, then Randall missing 2 at the 1 second mark, then Benson missing 2 more at the 1 second mark.
I'm going to assume it's still all screwed up as to the final few seconds of what must have been a wild and crazy game.

The refs were as bad as you can be. Those last 2 calls both could have cost Temple the game. It's embarrassing how bad they were. Fran benching Khalif in those 3 minutes before the 1 minute left mark was huge for this team and for Khalif. Khalif could have pouted but he took the benching as a learning moment came back and did what he does on offense. One of the most painful wins but also one of the more rewarding wins because of the effort needed to come back from 10 down with 3:40 to play.

The refs were horrible all game...missing travels, calling phantom fouls...

Temple is not good but a win at Dayton is always something that is tough...

Just seemed like today both teams were fighting themselves and the refs.

I definitely saw visible frustration from the Temple players regarding the refs...

They flat out get a F for the game

For the record

-Wyatt hits 3 with 7 seconds left. TU leads 72-71

-Dillard gets trapped and the ball goes out of bounds, Temple ball. 3 seconds left.

-Temple inbounds into the backcourt. Scottie Randall breaks free and is not touched. A foul is called anyway. 1.6 seconds remaining.

-Randall misses both FTs. Dayton rebounds and calls timeout. 1.3 seconds remaining.

-Dayton needs to go the length of the court, in-bounding on the baseline. Before the ball is inbounded, a ridiculous foul is called away from the ball on Anthony Lee as he fought through a screen with Benson doing his best to play up the contact. Still 1.3 seconds left.

-Benson misses both FTs. O'Brien rebounds and is fouled immediately. 1.0 seconds left.

-O'Brien misses the first free throw, then hilariously chucks the 2nd attempt high off the backboard, no rim - Dayton once again gets the ball out of bounds, needing to go the legnth of the court, now with 1.0 on the clock.

-Inbounds pass is deflected, clock runs out. Game over.

Dayton seniors fail again in the end game. Dillard with two turnovers and would had a third but for a timeout, and Benson misses both free throws. Both teams went to the Wilt Chamberlain School of Free throw Shooting. Temple 10-22 for 46%. Dayton, 19-33 for 58%. Dayton still can't box on free throws. Flyers let this one get away. Derenbecker never put up a shot. We'll see whether or not this loss leads to them packing it in.

Congratulations to the Owls on the victory. I DVR'd the game because I had some errands but I couldn't resist checking the score on my cell phone. Another close loss 72-71!

About that time my son calls from Charlotte and asks if I watched the game. Upon hearing that I DVR'd it to watch later he tells me that I shouldn't because I would probably throw something through the TV. He said it was the most bizarre ending to a game that he had ever seen.

He said the Flyers ****ed down their leg. I said let me guess? Benson and Dillard (both seniors) screwed it up down the stretch after we had a comfortable lead. He said, "how did you know"? "you are exactly right"!

Dayton gave this one away like about five others previously this season. I guess we're trying to set the NCAA record for one- and two-point losses in a season.

UD fans are cursed by Satan from a previous life. You know things are bad when even fan bases of opposing teams look at your annual dysfunctional, under-achieving, find-another-way-to-lose basketball program and just stand back in awe.

The Rhode Island game is coming up soon. Have we started taking bets on which Ram is going to hit the last-second shot to win it? Just another annual right of passage.

Frank Scagliotta, scumbag ref, tried to give Dayton the game with that bogus foul call against Temple prior to the inbound pass.

Scags needs to be retired from officiating at any level.
