BU comes to Patrick Gymnasium on Tuesday, February 12th, at 7pm. Game will be shown on ESPN3.

Should be good, wish I could be there!

Starting this thread a bit early because of course I have a ticket for this one... but my son has since informed me that he has a HS concert that night. (Anyone interested in one ticket (section 4, row K) PM me.)

Big big game Tuesday on multiple levels. Last game against BU as conference rivals and last game against BU for who knows when again. Also need to win for conference standings, and since we've already dropped a game to BU it is super important to split the series, even though BU is ineligible for the tournament.

I expect a much better defensive effort and much better shot selection against BU's zone this time around. Also, and most importantly, much more focus and intensity- two things lacking last meeting. Go Cats!

I wish I could be there for this one, but not too feasible since it's a weeknight. Should be a very tough game against UVM, and since it's one of the last conference games at Patrick, who knows when we'll be there again? Sadly, I've seen more losses than wins there, but it would be nice to see one more!

I think UVM will win this one. BU is quicker. UVM has an advantage inside and on the boards. Both teams defend well and are streaky on offense. Both teams will be pumped for their last AE game.

Irving has been in a shooting slump but just had a good game against Bing. If UVM can defend him closely they should win.

BU is not just a little bit quicker- they are A LOT quicker. We have height size advantage but simply did not use it last game, which was the sole reason we lost IMO. That and sleepwalking out there.

BU played with much more intensity last game as well, which contributed to their momentum. We need to come up fired up this game, unlike last time. Playing with intensity and getting the ball inside are two things we need to do that will be critical to winning the game.

One of the keys last game was we had an 8-10 pt lead in the first half and let BU get open for easy 3pt shots. So many guys like to shoot the 3 and can shoot on BU, Robinson, Papale, Irving, Watson- that we always have to watch that. Especially Irving, because he's the definition of a streak shooter and he may be 1-13 from the floor but could still hit his next 3 3's in a row

Finally, not to put words in Coach Becker's mouth but someone needs to get a f****** body on Dom Morris this time around! :)

Not that I think his last game against BU would be a predictor for how he'd play tonight, but Rusin had by far his worst game of the season against BU last time out- 0-9 FG, 0-7 from 3, in 27 minutes.

BU has not been great on the road this season, but I actually predict BU will pull this one out. 58-51

I will not get home until the game is over - one of you guys must know this: does anyone know how soon ESPN3/WatchESPN makes the archive available after the game is over? Will I be able to watch as soon as 9:00 or 9:30?

Vermont presented BU with a plaque before the game, commemorating the rivalry and great battles we've had over the years. Classy move.

Surprised we're up 1 at half, 23-22. Feel like BU outplayed us and was beating us to balls and getting good looks on offense.

We need to tighten things up on our end and convert around the hoop. Sandro gave Luke a perfect pass and he was alone for a layup and blew it- need to make those to win this type of game. Hopefully we can get the ball inside a bit more and try and get BU into some foul trouble in the second half. Oh- and do a better job on Papale.

ala Chris Holm...i gotta think Luke could dunk that one even with his injury plagued knees

Vermont needs to move the ball quicker against a team like BU. They move the ball too slowly. BU's quickness and ability to get to spots makes it really tough for us to get the ball inside unfortunately.

I'd like to see Sandro/Blue and especially Voelkel drive against it more.
