Huh? Care to explain why? Yes, we took a chance on Flacco, but the least he will be is an above average QB. Ray Rice was a solid pick and will add much needed depth. Tavares Gooden is raw, but will have time to develop under one the best linebackers in the league. Zbikowski was a steal, and Cousins is a solid o-linemen. We also got Fabian Washington. Honestly, the Ravens did pretty well.

i dont mind the flacco deal but we had the 8th OVERALL PICK. we traded it down for nothing...

we could have gottenvernon gholstan to be our new peter boulware-adalius thomas for the next 10 years. or sedrick ellis to take over for the aging kelly gregg...

plus we didnt get a corner.
plus we really didnt make our oline any better and ogdens retiring this summer probably.

ray rice might be ok but we could have used a strong left tackle alot more then a secondary rb. theres a ton of good free agent rbs who could have filled that role(KJ,Alexander,Dominic Davis, etc.)

we didnt even get a deap threat either for flacco...

im just feeling sick about this draft.

we didnt even need Zbikowski. dawan and reed are really good and both young.

Re: who had the worst draft?

Once again, there is a draft board. I moved this thread to it's proper place.

Also, once again, Gholston and Ellis were out of range at 8. They were taken 6th and 7th respectively. They weren't going to move up for anyone, but Matt Ryan. Blame the Steelers for this. Played their B and C team and Ravens won the last game. Probably would've picked 6th.

I'd grade the Ravens draft a B or B-. I originally gave it a C, but judging it as a whole, you can see where they were going and it all made sense. They didn't go for every need, they went for depth. This team had none.

Ray Rice will give the Ravens a good one-two punch with he and McGahee. This is a 2 back league and the Ravens have no one behind him. Smith is gone, Anderson was released. Unless, you want 5'6" Cory Ross as the back up? Yeah, I didn't think so. They also got a good pick later on in Allen Patrick, who could be the 3rd guy behind them or to very least a KR.

Tavares Gooden gives the team something behind Ray and Scott for now, and will be a potential starter down the line. Ray may only play a few more seasons.

At SS, Landry slipped a bit from his rookie season and there's literally NOTHING (seriously) behind him or even Ed Reed other than Jamie Winbourne. I could even envision Zbikowski taking the Landry's job eventually. Especially, if he plays the way he did last season. Not to mention, Reed is 29 yrs old.

Also, keep in mind, Ravens drafted OT Jared Gaither in supp draft last summer, and it only cost a 5th rder for this draft. They potentially have their future LT already on the roster. And I liked Cousins pick, it's some depth at OT or G. I don't know enough about Marcus Smith, David Hale, or Haruki Nakamura to comment. Justin Harper was a decent pick, not sure how he will contribute.

Ravens also traded a 4th rder for Fabian Washington, who's still 24. There's your CB.

Only gripe I have is the Flacco pick. I don't think it was the right choice to go with. I mean, if you're building for depth in this draft, and take a guy who's gonna need to develop a little? I don't know, Henne (or even Brohm) are more ready or will be more ready to play sooner and would've fit better based on how they drafted. Not to mention, they got a bad deal with Jax, and then Houston screwed Ozzie by saying "they think" someone will take Flacco.

wait what? do you care to explain? flacco is at the least an above average qb?

honestly, i don't even know who flacco is. he is a divison I-AA qb and they took him midway through the first and he absolutely is not at least going to be an above average qb. and exactly how many times have you seen him play to make that statement about him?

Re: who had the worst draft?

As far as the topic goes, I'd say, 49ers, Titans, Broncos, and Lions.
