Re: Kaas makes a mock

I have no problem if Vikes take Claiborne. Kalil's good but not the Long or Thomas mold and we've seen, franchise LTs aren't needed to win . Plus, you can talk about the pass rushers in the division but it all comes down to the QBs in Rodgers, Cutler, and Stafford. You need 3 CBs at most times and they need about 2. Unless, Morris's gonna have to answer questions from WR instead of play him, it's nothing to worry about. That test is about patterns, numbers, etc. Nothing about football.

And if you're not stopping em you surely need fire power, so I can see how Blackmon makes sense in that regard. But I would only take him if I felt he was AJ Green or Jones. Which he's not.

Kaas, with that Vikings trade you fell into the classic mock draft mistake of making a trade that will make it easier for you to do a mock, rather than one that is likely to happen.

So you're telling me you think drafting an instant impact player who very well may be elite (most people are saying he's one of, if not the best running back prospects since Adrian Peterson) in the top 5 is "a ****ing stupid" idea? Selecting Ryan Tannehill top 5 would be a "****ing stupid" idea, but Trent Richardson is the closest thing to a lock in this draft.
After signing Nicks, our line is good enough that we could drop just about anyone into that backfield and they'll do just fine. Wait till the later rounds and draft a pass catcher, and pair him with Blount. They'll get the job done.

Top-pick star running backs aren't necessary to success. Look at the top offensive teams from last year. Look at their running backs. Pierre Thomas, undrafted. BJGE, undrafted. Starks from the Packers went in round 6 or something. McCoy was well in the second round. Best went at the tail-end of the first round.

I mean, if the Buccaneers could go back and redo that 2007 draft, you think they would be "****ing stupid" to take Adrain Peterson 4th? If you do, I'd probably have to deduce that you're ****ing stupid.
Yeah, that would have been ****ing stupid. Because anyone who blows a top-5 pick on a running back is pants-on-head retarded.

The DE we did take was a complete waste, but taking one was the right call. If he did pan out, he'd have had a **** of a lot more impact on our team than Peterson would've. If anything I'd rather go back and take Revis or Willis.

Revis/Willis over Peterson is kind of a no brainer. Is that really being debated here? You can find an RB in any round or in free agency.

RB the only position that is both overrated and underrated

Duh. Hence why you don't blow a top 5 pick on one.
