A name to look out for is Taylor Lewan from Michigan. If they go 10-2 ish again, he will go in the top ten. I thought he was the best tackle we played last year, even over Kalil.

Another name to look out for. Good athlete for a tackle, should move up people's draft boards after pro day. Won't register ton of sacks. He & Jarvis Jones played their first season in the SEC last year so it's hard to say who is more valuable, but I think its Jenkins.

With 8 QB's going in the first round the last two years my prediction is we see that fall to more normal levels, just because there aren't going to be enough suitors. If you assume a team wouldn't take a QB two years in a row, that only leaves about three teams that project to pick early that I think would definately be interested (Arizona, Jacksonville, Kansas City). This is why the Weeden pick was so stupid for Cleveland, they could have waited and had a very good chance to get the best or second best QB from this draft(without a lot of competition for moving up if needed) instead of wasting a first rounder on the fourth best QB from last year.

Granted, I follow the pro scene for sports and not college, so this is just the second game I've him play (the other vs. Stanford last year). You could call this an overly critical snap judgement, but I look at it as more of a initial impression.

When you look at his statline (24/39, 351 yards, 4 TDs--and on top of that Lee and Woods had 5 drops combined, which is unheard of), you would think he had a monster game. But he has serious arm strength issues. I never saw him put any zip on the ball, and he floated all throws 20+ yards and out. It was Pennington-esque. If you're going against elite athletes at corner like you do every week in the NFL, that will not fly. And if you don't have a strong arm, you should at least have accuracy, where he is merely okay. He threw lots of balls too low for receivers to make a play, and often would just throw in the general vicinity of the target, rarely catching receivers in stride, on the numbers, or on a shoulder. He did have a few nice outside shoulder throws, but most of those were just letting his receiver beat an inferior talent 1-on-1. The real star of the offense was Lee (and McDonald was the better #7 in the game).

Maybe my assessment of him will change as I see more (have season tickets), but Lee is definitely the better pro prospect thus far. Maybe he's just shaking off some off-season rust and he has a stronger and/or more accurate arm than he showed today. Barkley is an elite college player, the stats don't lie. I just don't see him translating to the NFL. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong in the next few weeks.

Not terrible, but I wouldn't draft EJ Manuel or Greg Reid in the 2nd or 3rd round. Actually, drafting Greg Reid ahead of Xavier Rhodes is laughable. Rhodes and Jones are too low, Manuel and Reid are too high. Unfortunately it'll be tough for Jenkins to stay in those first couple rounds with his foot injury.

I'm starting to wonder if AJ McCarron won't be the best pro. He has great size, is very accurate and poised, can move around a little bit, and seems to have a strong arm too. Has anyone seen any pro buzz about him? He's only a junior and has been perceived as a game manager, so he's a late one, but I remember Luck in his RS FR year against Notre Dame when I thought he was a game manager.

Haven't actually watched an Alabama game this year. He played good against LSU in the second game, but I got to see more.

Bjoern Werner up to #3 on Mel Kiper's big board -- the JJ Watt comparisons are inevitable.

As much as it sucks that Brandon Jenkins got hurt, it's allowed Tank Carradine to show what he has and he's now up to #19 on Kiper's board.

I think McShay has 3 UGA defenders in his first round mock: Jones, Ogletree, Jenkins. But if I was a team, I would stay away from Jenkins. The other 2 should be good players. Jenkins has been a huge disappointment. Only has a high grade because of potential he'll never realize, probably.

Carradine tore his ACL yesterday, which in all likelihood will knock him out of the 1st round.
