Baltimore's defense is a far cry from what they used to be. The Broncos aren't Peyton Manning and a bunch of random guys, they have got the better team almost across the board.

Ray Lewis didn't play in that game. My post was meant to point out that I think they match-up considerably better this time with Ray in the line-up because of how smart he is and how well he reads Peyton.

Yes, getting Lewis back helps. You know what would help a lot more? A time machine and an infusion of talent on defense. They are also missing Lardarius Webb, Suggs and Ngata aren't at full strength and Lewis and Reed just aren't the same players they used to be. This isn't so much a question of whether Lewis can match wits with Manning (which is always a dangerous game since offenses always have the built-in advantage of knowing the play), it comes down to whether you have the personnel to get after the quarterback and cover. Baltimore doesn't do either at an elite level anymore.

And maybe more importantly, the Ravens offense hasn't played well on the road all year long, at times they have been downright disastrous. I see no reason why all of a sudden this will change against one of the best defenses in the league, at Mile High no less, new offensive coordinator or not. I would give them a better chance if these were the Ravens of recent years, this season not so much.

Solid first Mock. But we all know by the time the draft rolls around atleast 1-3 of them 2nd tier QB are gonna work their way into the first. If Brandon Weedon work his way into the 1sy then Barkley/Glennon/Bray/Nassib/Wilson got a chance

I can't see KC, Jacksonville, and Oakland passing on Geno Smith even if he isn't a Top 3 talent.

Are you dropping Warmack because of how far DeCastro fell last year?

Atlanta should draft a pass rusher. Logan is more of a run stopper, which would help, but someone who can put pressure on opposing quarterbacks is needed more.

Hunter may be more of a 2nd rd pick or a reach. Maybe even Patterson. I keep seeing him go higher though. Not sure I buy into that yet.

Mostly because of value at OG position, they tend to fall. Need played some part of it too. I thought 16 was pretty good.

Oh, yeah he should be valued higher. Or position not overlooked in general depending on who it is.

I did think the same of DeCastro, though Warmack's a better prospect. He may be good enough to go top 10. My update soon will reflect that maybe haha.

Brandt also has him going 4th in his mock.

Really? It seems like every year there's a guard who is the "next Steve Hutchinson" and they never are. As far as I'm concerned, guards should go back to being relegated to MLB status where they basically don't get looked at in the first round at all unless they are really really special.

These mocks are really interesting in the sense that none of the top guys really stood out that much to me as a casual fan. Werner had a great year, but physically he seems a little small for that role in the NFL. Kiki Mingo wasn't really great this year either.

Then guys who just seem like uber studs like Margus Hunt are at the tail end of the first. I guess the kid lacked consistency, but the potential is just off the charts in him.

With Chip Kelly going to Philly I think Geno Smith's worse case draft position is 4.

While Geno strictly wants to stay in pocket, he is a better runner or more athletic than I gave him credit for. However, while Kelly wants to run his offense, I think it may be cross between that and similar to what NE's spread is. They're also running it more these days. Run so many plays. With that said, Mariota only had 106 attempts last yr running. That's probably a lot less than most thought and maybe not as important. Plus, he sees what happens when the QB gets hit a lot in the NFL.

Thing I like about Kelly too, is he'll adjust to personnel or adjust in general. He's not stubborn.
