I bought Phil Jackson's book, "The Last Season" today. There is a funny quote involving the Lakers in I believe 2000 when Phil went to Mitch Kupchak and wanted Kobe to be traded.

btw - Very good book so far. Very interesting getting a look inside this team and all its turmoil.

It is too bad we cannot get every player in the NBA to play the game the way Phil Jackson envisions it being played.

That is pretty funny

I was thinking about buying Phil's book, sounds like it'd be an interesting read. Is it worth reading so far in your opinion?

I'd say definitely. I've read a couple other of Jackson's books, Sacred Hoops and More Than A Game, so I really respect his opinions.

There is an incredible amount of dish on Kobe and even Shaq, although the stuff on Shaq is much more benign. I've always thought that Kobe's ego was so enormous that it was actually a problem and what Phil says does nothing to dispel that notion.

That makes no sense considering that was arguably McGrady's best Defensive season
