JW does in one draft, something Gabe couldn't do in 4.
He drafted a future dominate big man and quality starting PG. Oh where, oh where was JW 5 years ago?

I know there were other circumstances, but it is too bad Tmac is still not in town. If he could have held off another 2 years with Jameer and Dwight, with Hill healthy, still signing Turkoglu, and maybe still trading for Battie ... that could have been a sensational team.
Now we are probably going to end up looking for a true SG instead of Francis anyway when we had one of, if not the best, already ...

Well, let's be fair. Gabriel also didn't have a #1 pick to work with either.

He has also let go of Zaza Pachulia for nothing. Traded Keith Bogans for Brandon Hunter. Gave away Anderson Varejao when he probably didn't need to. He has done a good job, but has gotten a lot of luck. Getting the first pick and then being lucky enough that a number of other teams were stupid enough to pass on Jameer Nelson.

And none of those guys have done much. Bogans will be a career backup. ZaZa and Varejao may or may not be good.

What starting quality PG are you referring to?

Ever heard of a guy named Nelson? He only was the CPOTY and is putting up 15/5/5 in his last 5 games.

Outside of Orlando some people might not realize it, but Jameer Nelson is the starting PG in Orlando right now and has been playing extremely well. And tonight against the Nets he's got 15 pts at the half. And not only have his numbers been good, but Orlando has been playing much better and their overall ball movement has improved and turnovers have gone way down. And the last 2 games he has played 40 mins a game and not because of injuries.

Nelson = Tim Hardaway clone.

You're upset at me for not knowing who he is? Jeez man. Shame on me that I didn't watch the Magic's last 5 games, I guess.
EDIT: Nevermind. Only SM's can do that.

I didn't give any one negative rep.
Any way, I wouldn't call Nelson a Tim Hardaway clone. He reminds me more of a young Damon Stoudamire.
