Are you saying T-mac is not a great player but Grant Hill.
But seriously, the games T-mac missed the Magic are 2-1? or?

TMAC is obviously the best player and leader of the team. They have played fine without Hill. I dont think they would do so great without TMAC.He just brings so much to the table.

Okay, some ppl are just ignorant. Hello? T-Mac carried this team by himself for 2 seasons, what more do you want? This team would be worse than the Cavs if it weren't for T-Mac. He's proven that he's better than Ricky Davis, Tyrone Hill, big Z, and DMiles combined.
He's always the one to carry the team, even now. Hill is in and out, so Magic is still T-Mac's team.

um remember 3 years ago? when we had ben wallace, bo outlaw, john amechi, doleac, armstrong, ron mercer, chucky, etc...? we were 41-41. 1 game out of the playoffs. think of our team minus tmac and ghill.. and i say OVERALL we're better now. we're just missing big men, but that cancels out with our three point shooting white boys . yes tmac is GREAT, but w/o him we play more as a team. yes our offense stinks when he's on the bench, only because it's sasser that's the main scorer. and quite frankly, sasser doenst belong in the nba. ugly shot and no handles. he's no way a guard. but he sure does loev getting offensive rebounds.

I never thought of this question. Its pretty interesting.
If Grant hill was the healthy guy who once played in Detroit the Magic would easily be equally as good as they are with just Tmac. Not's not to knock Tracy because he has done a fine job leading the team without Grant. If they both could stay healthy for a season surely they would take the east by storm!

A little bit further off the topic :)
Aside from just being totally crazy, would it be a bad basketball move for the Magic to trade McGrady? As it stands, they aren't going to get Brown or anyone of his ability. That means they're basically "stuck" with Hill, TMac, and Miller as the core of their team. As Deveany says in that article, they're good, not great (mostly due to Hill and their complete lack of inside help). If they're really set on become a "great" team, in the best tradition of their own past and Jerry Krause, they should gamble it all and trade TMac.
I'd be willing to bet that TMac could fetch JWill and Curry from the Bulls or Kwame and Stack from us.
I simply ask, which team has the chance to go to the finals in a couple years?
1. Curry, Kemp, Hill, Miller, JWill
2. Kemp, Brown, Miller, Stack, Hill
3. Stephen Hunter, Kemp, Miller, TMac, Hill
If the Magic really want to swing for the fences, they'd be better off trading TMac.

You are kidding, right? This team that surrounds TMac is nowhere near the team of 3 years ago. That team had nothing but defensive energy, unlike the current motley crew.
Armstrong alone is a VERY OLD 34, almost 35 year old, whose game has left him! He makes more turnovers and can't even defend anymore.
Garrity only dreams that he is the defensive catalyst that Bo Outlaw IS!
Doleac is doing fine off of the Knicks bench and is a better shooter than Hunter ever will be.
Mercer is just as good as Mike Miller.
Chucky and BEN WALLACE, who you conveniently left off the list on that year's team) are far superior to Sasser and Olumide O!!!!!!

Based on the way Jay and Curry look thus far I'd want a hell of a lot more from Chi than those two. If I were Orl, I'd ask for Chandler, Curry, Jay, and a 1st round pick. Unreasonable? Maybe but TMac might be the best player in the league.
