Who's to Blame?
Who is to blame most for Dwight Howard not being more of an offensive force right now for the Magic? I think it's obvious to most of us who watch the Magic almost every game that Howard is being underutilized and not receiving the touches he deserves in the post. Who do you blame most for that? -- Is it Steve Francis, the Magic's best individual player who has a reputation for being selfish, dominating the ball too much and not using his big men enough? Is it Johnny Davis' fault for not running more plays for Howard and for rarely playing Howard in the 4th quarter of close games when Dwight is playing very well and is not in foul trouble? Is it Dwight Howard's fault himself for not demanding the ball enough or not working hard enough to get good post position? Only choose one person, you can't say all of them or two of them, I'm asking who is mostly at fault in this situation.

Re: Who's to Blame?
It is absolutely Johnny Davis' fault, no question. Johnny manages to draw up plays at the beginning of the game for Dwight, but then he goes away from it, even if it's working brilliantly. Francis and everybody else as well could pass him the ball more, but they don't. It's up to the coach, and if he can get him the ball early like he's shown he should be able to do it the entire game.

Re: Who's to Blame?
Most to blame would be Johnny Davis ... and actually, I think probably Weisbrod. Honestly, I think that Dwight's offensive touches have basically been a plan all along.
If you look at it, it makes sense. At the beginning of the year, Dwight pretty much only touched the ball on offensive rebounds, fastbreaks, or off penetration. Then a while into the season, they started going to Dwight the first play of every game. And recently, except for the last couple of games, they have tried to get Dwight more involved. I honestly think it was planned ahead of time.
I think Dwight is to blame a little too, although I don't think at 19 yrs old playing with guys like Francis and Hill, that Howard is probably ready to start demanding the ball. Although I think the lack of touches is getting to him. He has been a little on edge the last couple of games, getting in peoples faces and talking to the refs.

Johnny Davis, that's one of the reasons he got fired.

Jent didn't exactly do a great job of improving that last night. Howard was on fire and somehow got off 8 shots all night.

Jent is a sucky coach too, he underplayed Dwight, although Dwight could have cut down on hius fouls.

Re: Who's to Blame?
Hmm, Howard... undo the McGrady trade and bring in Phil Jackson to coach the C and SG!
Or Del Harris, Shaq's LA coach before Jackson.
Whatever happened to Brian Hill? Is he an assistant? http://www.basketballreference.com/c...achid=HILLBR01 . 50, 57, and 60 wins for Orlando (with Shaq). He struggled without him and in Vancouver, but that was bound to happen. Some of these talented teams should look at him.
