Injured Grant Hill and Jameer Nelson both hope to return for the Magic Tuesday in Dallas.
Magic Coach Chris Jent will conduct practice Monday in Dallas still unsure about who will be available for Tuesday night's game against the Mavericks.
It's not the ideal way to prepare for a playoff race.
Grant Hill and Jameer Nelson, who missed Saturday night's victory in New Jersey, both are hoping to return against Dallas, but neither was offering any guarantees over the weekend.
"That makes it a little tougher, but it's also easy when you have other guys who understand the situation, and they know things can change," Jent said after the team's flight from New Jersey Sunday.
Nelson has missed the past three games with a muscle tear around the rib cage. Hill missed Saturday's game with a bruised left shin, an injury that cost him three games earlier in March. Center Kelvin Cato, who lost his starting role and played just six minutes Sautrday, also has been slowed by a shoulder problem.

Another interesting bit from the article not really related to the injuries:
Quote:
When Nelson returns, it's likely that the Magic will release Andre Barrett, the 5-10 point guard who was signed to a 10-day contract last week. Barrett has played well - he hit two key shots late in Saturday's victory - but the Magic need more help at small forward and shooting guard.
Mark Jones, who was released originally to make room for Barrett, could be re-signed if Nelson proves Tuesday that he is healthy enough to last the rest of the season.
