I'm getting tired of the Magic just coasting along in the season. They play well one night and lose the next night. They play good a few games in a row but that is it. It sucks that the Magic have not been one of the better teams in the NBA by now. Sure Hill has been out but Mike should be able to step in. And heck we can't even blame it on not having Hunter. The Magic are a good team, but I don't know if we are good enough to win a championship. A lot runs on Hills health, and if he is not healthy in the playoffs we are done.

But hey I think we are 2-3 games out of second in the division. So maybe things will pick up? But I think the year has been a disapointment so far. I was expecting more out of them this year.

P.S. Where are these big men we drafted? Where is Griffin and Kasun? I thought they would be good, and I hope they did not "get cut" because that is quite sad considering the big men the Magic have. Also just think where we would be without the Shawn Kemp!!!!

I agree Ozzy that this year has been a disappointment. TMAC can tbe a one man team and other players definelty need to step it up if we want to do well in the playoffs.

We need to get Grant healthy and quick.

It seems this year that whent he Magic are on they can beat almost any team but when they are off the can get beat badly by any team

Without Hill, we are a middle of the pack team in the East.

Best we can hope for is to make it to the playoffs and then hope Tmac can win it singlehandedly.

tmac wont do it single handedly for sure... but if pat garrity steps up 2 his potential theres no stopping this team

Sure they will be better if he lives up to is potential but every team has players like this. What we need is a huge post presence. Kemp is ok but we need a good big man to dominate on the glass.

Pat Garrity has reached his potential, which is being an oversized shooting guard who cannot EVEN run screens like a normal shooting guard.

Garrity should be on the Magic Bench! Gabe should have picked up Skinner or Massenberg(which is why Utah looks so good, watch how he comes in and dominates the paint).

The Magic have NO BIG men, as Barkley said the other night - NO BIG men. Even if Grant Hill had been healthy - the Magic still would not ever be close to dominating, as they have no BIG men and a roster filled with 6'6" to 6'9" guys who are NOT physically tough or mentally tough, either.

You cannot win without the ball and this team has NO rebounders except Hill & Tmac - which is SAD, and shows how incompetent Gabe and Doc are.

It is funny that you mention that because 2 years ago the Magic were the "blueprint" on how an NBA franchise should be run. They had just finished 41-41, had a great young coach, and had an ish load of cap money to spend on superstars. People around the league were calling Gabriel a genius. But look at what happened. Everymove Gabriel has made has since backfired, with the exception of TMac. Hill can't play for more than half a game. Miller is a good player but the Magic have too many guys at his position. They've tried to replace Wallace with a bunch of guys but nobody is getting the job done. The Magic are still a big man away from getting anywhere but they will never be able to move Hill.

I think with Hill healthy they are a top 3/4 team in the East, just because they are so much better offensively and Hill does so many things well.

With Hill they are one good big from being a top East team. Without Hill, there are a lot of pieces missing.

That seems incongruous to me. It seems as though you are saying that Hill does the job of a couple guys? I say that because of the underlined section of your sentence.

Yeah I think HIll when healthy does the job of a couple of guys. He is our best rebounder and playmaker so that takes away pressure from Mcgrady and he is probably our 2nd best defender and scorer.

Obviously teams with huge frontcourts will still pound us but not many Eastern teams have that advantage so a healthy Hill puts us straight into contention IMO.

I think several eastern teams do have that advantage and that is why the Magic record is what it is. I mean the Hawks, Hornets, Pistons, especially the Pacers have a huge advantage over the Magic. You could even add in the Bulls and the Wizards - as they also have a much bigger & stronger front line than the Magic.

Even the 6ers have a big front line if you add in Skinner along with DC and bigTMac. Those 3 alone are better than the 3 for the Magic front line. Having Garrity a part of the starting front line is a HUGE downer anyway you look at it. Not even Hill can make up for that glaring hole in the front line.
