Magic looking at Brumbaugh

Two days after Brumbaugh told a Houston TV station he has entered the draft, the Magic on Friday morning called DeLand High, asking for game tapes of Brumbaugh in action, his high school coach said.

"The Magic were one of the teams that saw Keith play this year," said DeLand Coach John Zeoli. "Now that he's declared, they're showing some interest."

Brumbaugh is in Houston working out under former NBA point guard and coach John Lucas.

Brumbaugh, a slender 6-foot-8 left-hander, averaged 30.3 points and was voted Florida Mr. Basketball, but he remains a long shot to be drafted.

I'd take him in the second. Why not?

He should go to UF though.

A friend of mine has been following Brumbaugh very closely. He was said to be considering the University of South Florida as a college option, I think because of an uncertainty with the scholarship situation at Florida. USF is where I graduated from and he'd probably be the top prospect that USF has ever gotten, if they do.

From what I've read, I seriously doubt he stays in the draft. Though if someone like Orlando guarantees to pick him in the 2nd and maybe guarantees a small contract, he might stay in.

If we end up keeping both of our 2nd rounders, why not use one on him?

If he does end up staying in the draft then I don't really care if we take interest into him. Our Second round pick(s) would definatley be the place to take him, but he's an kinda an iffy prospect, I'm not sure if we need to risk it or pass him up.
