i saw a report they were interested in stanley roberts. supposedly fat boy has finally gotten his act together. this could be a great fit if he is motivated and you dont have to steal from the grizz to get it done.
I saw a very interesting thing on him during the All-Star break. He was suppose to be just as good as Shaq but got into some drug problems and the only thing that stopped him from being less of a player then O'Neal was that he was less motivated and never wanted to work harder and become a better player, correct? I really like this guy. He really touched me and he wants to finish that house he was going to build for his mother but never finished and it reminds him that his basketball carreer is half-complete. He really impresses me, and he's worth the try.
Hey, if we gave Shawn Kemp a shot why not this guy? This guy is worth the risk! I'm telling you.. what I saw of him light up my eyes!
Stanley Roberts was supposed to be better then Shaq, guys. Isn't that prospect worth the gamble? I sure as hell think so - and if you have half a brain you should agree!
not only was roberts better than shaq in college, he had a better offensive game than him during his first year even if his points didnt show it. i think its a great idea if the guy has ANY chance of performing. if it doesnt work out do you think they will bring back the dunking machine/shot blocker mark acres next?

I have a whole brain and I don't want another Shawn Kemp on the team.
Supposed to be and IS are two VERY different things. Lets just open the floodgates for ALL druggie centers who can't play worth a damn while were at it....
Stanley Roberts might have been a better player than Shaq back at LSU, but that was ten years, a few drug arrests and about a hundred pounds ago. He's really out of shape, he hasn't played in 3 seasons and he wasn't that great an NBA player back when he was young and fit. He might have some potential, but what are the chances of him reaching it at this point in his career.
Depends on what kind of shape he is really in. If he is in decent shape, then he'd be better to have than Oyedeji who cant get off the bench or maybe even Burke who doesnt play anymore.
But i've heard that he is still WAY overweight..

I still think he's worth picking up, he'd come in to more use then that Nigerian dude Oyedeji or Pat Burke who was very promising earlier this season but hasn't gotten any playing time.
I think Burke's confidence has been completely shot. And Oyedeji, man I really thought he was going to contribute. I thought maybe he could be a poor man's Ben Wallace, but he hasn't been able to get off the bench at all. I doubt Oyedeji is still around next season.

Pat Burke was suppose to be our starting center and now he has been completely tooken out of the picture, that must hurt. I feel that he might have a future in this team while Oyedeji doesn't have a spot on this roster for long. I'd be surprised that we don't release him and sign some other player before the playoffs start.
By the way, would you mind changing that avatar of yours Dee Bo because that one is under my name and I asked Retro to make that one for me. Please?
