Offseason moves...

Ok there is still a lot of the season left, but I am already thinking postseason.

I live on the West coast and have a thought of a draft pick for the magic.

Luke Ridnour PG Oregon.

6'2" 175lbs.

Led his team in scoring (20.1ppg) and assists (9.75apg).

He is likened to Pete Maravich and is said to be the best pure PG since Stockton. This kid is a playmaker, period. Jason WIlliams like passing ability, but a lot smarter with the ball. Shot 39.7% from 3 pt land this season for Oregon and was named the PAC 10 Player of the year.

Luke Ridnour

I think him or Kirk Hinrich would be a good choice. I would personally almost like to see Hnrich more, since he is probably a better defender and shoots just as well. Orlando doesn't need much more scoring help, they just need a PG that will hit wide open jumpshots.. something Vaughn has been unable to do.

Just keep the D honest and not get runover on D, that is what Orlando needs from a PG.

There are going to be a ton of foreign players declaring, so it is possible a very good big man could be available for Orlando's pick as well.

I'd like to see how Chris Marcus does in workouts.. if he could at least be as decent as Olowokandi, he would be a huge asset to Orlando, if he could stay healthy.

ridnour wont stick til when the magic draft them. i predict that utah or seattle will draft him. yes, he's that high. heinrich is limited.. cant exactly run the point 100%. ridnour is a player that leads a team, not the type that will set up plays. but a lot can change from now to later

Orlando doesnt really need a traditional point guard anyways. Orlando's biggest need at point is a point that will hit wide open jumpshots and Hinrich could do that. He is also taller and a pretty decent defender.

I think either would be a good pickup. although with Chris Whitney around, Orlando might be better off going for a really good rebounder/shotblocker if one is available.

yea i agree

PG is not the glaring need for Orlando... its the C...

So what i think is get some average guy to fill the spot now... and draft James Lang, re-sign Shawn Kemp, and T-mac and Kemp will train Lang into becoming a NBA player... who better than 2 succesful out of high school/juco players.

Oh and also Lang could learn from Kemp's mistakes... take bakers dozen out of his vocabulary
