On living with and working out with Tracy McGrady: “It’s helped me a lot. He’s off the chart skill wise. And he’s teaching me some of his moves. We’re lifting together, and I’m getting a lot bigger and a lot stronger. And we’re really becoming great friends. It’s been a great opportunity getting to work with him. Having him take me in his house, work with his trainer and I’m getting better because of it.”
On if McGrady talked to him about the Magic: “Yeah, he told me about the Magic, told me it’s a good program. Hopefully they can take me, but if not, I hope I go somewhere good. But, this would be a good fit for me.”
On if he played with Memphis teammate Shawne Williams: “Yeah. I know his game, he knows mine. I know he’s good around the basket so I try to put him in good positions and let him score. And me I got better, so I can score off various things. He’s seeing me as a better player now, and I’m seeing him as a better player now. And it’s kind of fun to meet up here, rather than in Memphis.”

First batch of workouts? Jesus, I knew we were slow and our management isn't great but damn. Most teams have a lot of workouts under their belts, especially if they're lottery. Why are we always a step behind everyone else?

The Magic had the mother of all swingman workouts on Thursday afternoon at their practice facility, bringing in six of the top shooting guards and small forwards in the draft. Villanova's Randy Foye, Arkansas' Ronnie Brewer, Memphis' Rodney Carney, Temple's Mardy Collins, Rutgers' Quincy Douby and Arizona's Hassan Adams worked out for roughly two hours against each other.
What was the verdict? A Magic spy said the workout was very competitive, but Foye, Brewer and Carney shined the most.
It's unlikely that Foye will be on the board when the Magic pick. However, Brewer and Carney (along with Duke's J.J. Redick) likely will be in serious consideration for Orlando's No. 11 pick.
Orlando needs an athletic swingman to put in the backcourt with Jameer Nelson. Either Brewer or Carney would be an excellent addition.
However, the player the Magic really covet is Washington's Brandon Roy. The Magic have been working for several weeks to move up in the draft, but they face a practical problem: How high do you have to move up to get Roy?
Conventional wisdom says No. 4 or No. 5 in the draft. But the Bulls are seriously considering him at No. 2. The Magic probably don't have the ammunition it's going to take to get that high in the draft. Dwight Howard, Darko Milicic and Jameer Nelson are untouchable. It's doubtful a team would take a player like Carlos Arroyo or Hedo Turkoglu for a high lottery pick.

I think a package of Keyon Dooling, #11 pick, and the rights to Vazquez could land us in the top 5... IF a team is willing to take on Vazquez with the possibility that he might puss out and never come to the NBA.

Whyyy is everyone trying to get rid of Dooling??
Lets try and package away Pat Garrity. Who doesn't want a shooter?

Cuz that's all he is. A shooter. With a trade kicker. Coming off his worst season of his career. He's at an all-time low as far as trade value is.
How bout Garrity and a sign and traded Stevenson? Would anybody want that package?
