No more Diener?

Sure the kid never got a real chance to play last year. But with the addition of JJ Redick, and the fact that we have 3 other PGs, and have to deal with Stevenson and Ariza this summer, does that signal the end of Travis Diener in a Magic uniform?

Re: No more Diener?

So you think Diener will be traded? Might be for the better because with Redick now, when would Diener play? I like both players, but if I were the coach (meaning 1st draft picks every year because of the losing record I'd produce each year) I would play Redick more often. I think (well, can I be bold?) Redick is a much better, accurate shooter than Diener. This may also not be very accurate since I didn't really see Diener play that much for you (the games I did catch). So competition usually is good, causing you hopefully to improve your skills and show you deserve the spot more than your competitor. But in this case, I can see it being beneficial to Diener to go somewhere they can use him.
Either way, I think you will be happy with Redick.

Re: No more Diener?

not traded. his contract was only guaranteed for one year i think (2nd rounder). so he'll just not get picked up most likely.

I'm just glad the whole Diener infatuation Chuck Norris type thing from that other site didn't leak its way on here.

I think it's because the average age on this Magic board is above 15, at least maturity wise.

I understand the Chuck Norris craze, find it pretty funny too. But Travis Diener? Never caught on, although bbb.net does have this "somehow Isiah Thomas" thing. Not a fan of that one either.

Re: No more Diener?

I never really saw Diener developing into anything NBA-worthy in his playing days anyway.
