Re: Is it time to make some major changes?
I don't know about major changes but there does need to be some tweaks.
The most worrisome part is I think the main issue lies with Jameer. He seems on most nights to really be an indicator of how well Orlando plays. When he is penetrating and attacking we generally win. When he stands outside and tries to be a jumpshooter we generally lose. Earlier this season he was attacking. There were games where he'd come down and get 2-3 layups in a row which turn into lobs to Dwight later in the game. Now teams are playing way off him making him shoot and he's got no confidence. And it seems his turnovers, and bad turnovers, are rising again.
Not sure what the deal is with him. Whether he is injured or just mentally not into it. When he is on he's a 15-5-5 player. When he's off he is almost non-existent on the court.
I was all for giving Jameer time to show what he's got but at this point I am getting worried about Orlando's future at PG.
Also - to add - I think Rashard's game is being screwed up playing at PF. It was fine earlier but I think it is wearing on him. We need to keep him and Turk on the court together so I'd like to see Shard moved to SG and start someone else at PF. Shoot, start Garrity or Augustine at PF. Augustine did a good job on KG in the Celts game and was really hustling. Give him a shot.
