Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu continued to make his push to be added to the NBA All-Star Game roster for the first time in his career by being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
The league announced Monday that Turk had won the honors after leading the Magic to a 3-1 week, with wins over Detroit and Boston. Leading the Magic in scoring in all four games, Turkoglu averaged 25.5 points on .492 shooting from the field and .500 shooting from three-point range.
Turkoglu scored a game-high 27 points, including the game-winning three-pointer as time expired in Orlando's 96-93 win over Boston on Jan. 27.
He is hoping to be added to the East all-star roster by coaches, who vote for the reserves. The reserves will be announced Thursday.
