Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
Since we're talking trade thought id throw this out there. Don't know if you think its worth it, but then again a two-star front court is a good thing to have in todays NBA.
P. Garrity
J. Redick
K. Dooling
C. Arroyo
K. Bogans
to Indiana for
J.O'Neal
thumbs up? thumbs down?
you tell me. i don't know what orlando would like, im just throwin out ideas.
but
Nelson
Lewis
Hedo
O'Neal
Howard
could be impressive
thats a big lineup and would cause trouble for east teams especially boston with 6'5 Allen tryna guard 6'10 Lewis...forget about it.
And its not like Garnett can guard JO and Superman
and Howard and O'Neal are too quick for Davis and Perkins
basically you could beast Boston all day, but im pretty sure your goal is to win the finals not beat boston. SO idk. lemme kno what you think.

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
I did read there's a decent chance the Magic trade Garrity and Arroyo or Dooling to Seattle for Kurt Thomas. That would be a nice trade in my opinion.

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
Kurt is a perfect additong, and wouldn't cost a ton.

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
i wouldnt want jermaine here. he's not dependable nor durable and he takes up too much room in the half court set to be effective despite being surrounded by shooters. what i mean by that is he starts his post up about 10-15 feet away due to his lanky frame. if you thought darko was soft, wait til you see jermaine :P
i really like the brad miller trade so of course it won't happen.
the thing i dont like about the kurt thomas trade is that trading expiring contracts for him doesn't help us in the long term with his contract expiring this summer as well, unless one of the PGs from seattle were included as well (reuniting west and nelson, now that'd make a good story line, making them the 2008 version of juan dixon and steve blake)

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
They would be up there, but not the best. Atleast every night. JO's game has dropped big time.

i was lobbying for Thomas before he was picked up by SEATTLE... i think that would be a great addition and he would bring a lot to the table similar to Batman.

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
i'd rather steal chris wilcox from seattle and im sure seattle wouldnt mind either, being in salary dump mode and all.
kurt thomas is already expiring. give em garrity, arroyo and dooling too. then they'd be left with mostly rookie contracts, ridnour, watson and wally sexyback

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
well there goes Kurt Thomas coming to Orlando.

The San Antonio Spurs have acquired Kurt Thomas from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for Brent Barry, Francisco Elson and a 2009 first round choice, according to sources.

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
Kings wanted Hedo thrown into the deal for Miller and Garcia. Otis wisely said no.
Right now the Magic are trying to get a deal done for Wilcox. The catch is they would have to take on Watson's contract, give up a 1st rounder and maybe even Reddick.

That, IMO, is a hell of a lot to give up for an aging PF/C (Thomas will be 36 years old this year).

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
what did they give up? brent barry had fallen out of the rotation this year really.
kurt thomas is heaps better than elson.
so they gave up a 1st rounder and 2 non rotation players for him. not bad.
come on otis.. wilcox or collison. i'd take watson no problem. and give us wilkins while you are at it lol

Re: Orlando/Sacramento trade rumors
I'd rather take Collison over Wilcox, even if Chris is the more athletic player, Nick is smarter.
