They've done fairly well sharing the ball this year, it'll be interesting to see how he impacts their flow.

that is the key phrase that i have been getting at. Washington is a better team without GA than with him IMO. with Daniels running the point they are sharing the ball and getting a lot more productivity out of the entire team whereas GA only provides his offense.
IMO Washington is better off just bringing in Agent 0 as a 6th man this year, but i will assume that that won't be the case and we will most certainly benefit from it.
no one should assume that when 0 comes back that they will be that much hotter...

Well he's said for the first 5 or so games he'll be a 6th man.
I don't think the Wizards play this year is an indication that they don't need Arenas, it's just a sign that they're capable of playing fair without him. People forget last year with their full team they were competing for a top seed in the East.

Re: Magic looking to cement their 3rd seed
The Wizards were playing with a full roster earlier in the season and started 0-5. I personally don't fear them. Hell I don't fear any of the lower seeds in the east. In fact the only team I believe the Magic will truly have issues with are the Pistons.

That can be attributed to a slow start.
I have little doubt the Wizards would be right in the mix with the Magic and Cavs, just like they were last year until they got hit by the injury bug.

The Cavs and Wizards don't belong in the same sentence with the Magic. Maybe the east will luck out and Howard gets injuried before the playoffs. That is only way the Wizards or Cavs have a shot against them IMO if they actually meet.

I don't know how you can say that considering the Cavaliers won the East last year.

And the Heat won the championship 2 years ago. Hell the Bucks won the title in the early 70s. The past is the past. I myself like to live in the here and now, unlike most on this board.

I think there's a distinct difference in those teams and the Cavaliers being that the Cavs are virtually the same team, if not better than their finals team, but we should agree to disagree.

Just because you have a better team this year doesn't = more success. The Magic have improved. The Celtics have improved. The Pistons have improved. All of these teams > Cavs, Raptors, Wizards, etc. The past is the past. Every year is different and people who say "well this happened last year so it must mean it will again this year" are clowns in their own delusional world.
Also the Cavs made a trade that improved them on paper, but hasn't worked out on the court. Cap wise they screwed themselves and Lebron already has one foot out the door. Next year look for the Cavs to have a drop off from this year. Wallace, Big Z, Walley, etc are all getting old and have bad contracts. The Cavs could = the new Heat in a few years which means Lebron = on the trade block by 2009.

Re: Magic looking to cement their 3rd seed
I would actually rather play Boston than Cleveland. They manage to win a lot of games against us that they have no business winning. We all saw what LeBron did in the playoffs last year, I'd rather take my chances with Boston, who the Magic have played well against this year. Despite beating Detroit twice this year, they're the team I'd least like to see.
