magic likely to sign donnell harvey

Although they have 13 players already under contract for this season, they are expected to sign at least one more, likely Donnell Harvey, a 6-8 power forward out of Florida
|
he averaged 8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 20 minutes last season. this will be a great signing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bull fan here:
Lue, Gaines & Harvey are all players I wanted on the Bull. I think your GM made very nice choices.
FWIW IMO: Gaines will be best at the 2. Harvey is quick enough to guard 3's. Your coach has alot of flexibility.

Carl English. The 6-6 SG from Hawaii via Newfoundland, Canada is every bit as good as a Reece Gaines. Yep, you read that right.

English not drafted, hopes for tryout.

Gaines wont be able to play SG because tmac plays there. Doc said that he will be a PG and nothing else.

Harvey would be a real nice pickup -- one of those quiet signings that can really help a team out.

If Orlando signs Harvey, they'll be a tough team in the east next year. Harvey, Howard, Lue, & Gaines added to T-Mac & Gooden.

Harvey showed some real flashes last season at times. He's got no consistency, but he can be a once-every-3-games contributor. Orlando sorely needed depth and now they've got lots of guys that can play many positions, especially in the East ...
Positions guys can play against East --
Tmac - SG, SF, occasional point forward
Gaines - PG, SG
Bogans - PG, SG
Giricek - SG, SF
Howard - SF, PF, occasional C
Gooden - PF, C, occasional SF
Garrity - PF, SF
Pachulia - PF, C
Harvey - SF, PF, maybe some C in East but doubtful
DeClerq - PF, C
Only guys that are really stuck at a position are -
Lue - obviously only PG
Hunter - really only C
Sasser - on the pine
If by some miracle of a higher power Grant Hill could return for the 2004-2005 season, this team could be absolutely dominant in the East.
This year I think we've got a good shot at 3-5 seeds in EC.

Reading that last post by Dee Bo made me think how are these guys going to divide up the minutes with all these guys? Assuming we sign Harvey, here's what I think:
Lue: 25 mpg
T-Mac: 40 mpg
Giricek: 30 mpg
Gooden: 35 mpg
Howard: 35 mpg
DeClerq: 10 mpg
Harvey: 20 mpg
Garrity: 20 mpg
Gaines: 25 mpg
Pachulia: 10 mpg
Hunter: 15 mpg
Bogans: 10 mpg
IL: Sasser, Hill
I know it doesn't add up to 240 minutes but all these guys aren't gonna play every game.

I think Bogans will be more likely to get the 25 mpg and Gaines 10mpg this season.
Also, I doubt Pachulia will get 10mpg overall, unless he is more ready than we might think.
