I keep reading these boards, and you people keep saying that we will have him playing at the point. It's not going to happen, Bogans is a SG/SF................ Doc already ruined Sasser's career by trying to make him play PG, so there is no way in hell he will do it twice. Just my 2 cents

Sasser doesent suck, its Doc's fault that Sasser hasnt had the best of 2 seasons because he was playing point guard. Which isnt his position. and Bogans was a SF, it said it during the SEC tournament.

Have you ever seen Sasser play? Sasser is easily one of the top 15, if not higher, worst players in the league. He can't handle the ball, isn't a good passer, and most certainly can't shoot. And he is only an average athlete. He only assets are decent D and he is a great rebounder for a guard. I guarantee you Sasser wont be in the league after Orlando lets him go.
Bogans is definitely not a SF. He is 6'5" at best in shoes. If I'm not mistaken he did play a lot of point early on at Kentucky. He is by no means a playmaking PG, but Orlando doesn't need one anyways. He is a solid defender and can score some. His all-around skills far exceed those of Sasser. I guarantee he'll some more minutes at PG than at SF for Orlando.

First of all, whoever said Bogans is going to be a PG? That's ridiculous. He's a SG, period. Not tall enough to play SF in the NBA, and doesn't QUITE have the handle to play PG. I haven't seen anyone say Bogans is going to be a PG, and if someone did, they don't know what they're talking about.

BTW-that was obviously a mistake. Every UK fan knows he's a SG. Erik Daniels is UK's SF.
Allow me to quote Tubby on what he said at the UK basketball camp that I JUST got back from:
"Keith Bogans is easily the best SHOOTING GUARD I've recruited since I came to coach at Kentucky."
Now as far as Bogans being a PG, I can see him bringing the ball up the court in a fast break, but I can't really see him as being a PG in the NBA.
And if anyone still thinks Bogans is a SF, I went ahead and pulled up his profile.
if people would watch college basketball they would see that bogans was a excellant SG. He could score, pass and make plays happen he could even rebound. So that is pretty darn good. Did you all see him in the summer league! the top 2 scorers in the orlando summerleague were both kentucky boyz!

We get it, he's a SG.... and I don't remember seeing any quotes from Magic staff saying he'd be a PG, so where were you people getting that from?
And to whoever said Doc was responsible for Sasser sucking... what the hell? Sasser sucks. Nobody is responsible for it. He just does. He hasn't been playing PG. Have you been watching? He's been T-Mac's back-up. Hopefully we won't have to worry about which position he plays now, because his *** will be stapled to the bench.
I believe I said Bogans could possibly start at PG for Orlando, but with Lue, that won't happen. I guarantee Bogans will see at least some minutes playing at PG, especially against bigger guards like Chauncey and Baron.
Bogans will play SG. He'll play backup for T-Mac. He's not going to play PG.. however, I think he might defend the bigger PG's, like Marbury and Steve Francis because of his D...
Although I don't mean to detract from Gaines, Bogans is a little better on the defensive end. Gaines is the better players all around and offensively, yes, but Bogan's D I think is just a tad better.
Bogans will be primarily a SG, but at times can play PG because T-Mac brings the ball up the majority of the time anyway. He could get away with playiong PG, but that won't be very often.
