Why would New Orleans do this? That'd be nice but it's not happening.

They already have Wesley at shooting guard, and by starting a rookie (West) and playing Brown at center they lose the height advantage in the frontcourt that they had over most East teams.

Wesley is undersized at the 2, and would be more effective coming off the bench. As for the height advantage, they lose it, but can still manage quite well in the East, and with PT and experience, David West could be very good, instead of being wasted behind Brown and Magloire for the next 5-6 years AT LEAST. They did spend a first rounder on him....

They spent a first rounder on him not to start immediately, unless Brown bolted through free agency. But he didn't, so now his role is to eventually replace Brown, who I doubt will play 5-6 more years. Besides, you don't trade big for small. If anybody else actually reads this thread they will agree with me.

but the Hornets need a better 2 guard, and they have too many good big men, and PJ Brown just signed a 4-year deal. Magloire is expendable, and for Giricek and a pick, it is well worth it.

Wesley, although undersized, is better than Giricek and more versatile. They don't have too many big men, and Magloire is not expendable. If this trade went down Traylor would have to play huge minutes backing up West and Brown, and that would be a disaster. The pick means nothing, BTW. Just admit that I'm right, you know I am.

It was just an idea thrown out there. IMO it makes sense for both teams. It's not gonna happen anytime soon because the Magic are set for now, and won't make any deals unless necessary. It was just an idea thrown out there, like a lot of people do.

Actually, it doesn't make any sense for the Hornets, but I think I've explained myself adequately.

yea, you have explained yourself adequetly, but thats just your opinion. Neither way is right or wrong. Your point was taken, and IMO is valid, and well explained, however I disagree.
