Shammond Williams

By the sounds of this, sounds like Williams has a pretty good shot at making the team. I kind of agree with Doc. Williams always did seem very talented, just never been able to stick.

I remember when he was in his second season or so, he came off the bench for Seattle vs. Utah in the playoffs and helped Seattle almost take Utah in the first round back when Utah was a 2nd or 3rd seed.. I thought to myself that he would become a star, because he had the basketball blood (coming from UNC).. but he never panned out..

I hope he does well in Orlando, maybe he'll be the second coming of Hudson.. guess he has to make the team though first..

i see Shammond Williams becoming a journey man. He's a talented player, and would be great if given the right opportunity.

As a third string, he is great. He'll contribute efficiently.

Third string? He'll probably end up ahead of Gaines before long. Williams will help replace Darrell Armstrong's 3pt shooting more than any of the rookies.

From what I am reading now, sounds like Williams will be kept as the backup point, with Gaines backing up SG and SF. Possibly meaning Jeryl Sasser will be released. They might as well anyway, he wont play.
