I had a random thought trade idea the other night, I think while watching Houston.

Orlando receives - Kelvin Cato, Cuttino Mobley
Houston receives - Juwan Howard, Gordon Giricek

I know this wont happen because they wont trade Juwan right after signing him.

Reasons - Houston needs a PF with Griffin going coo-coo. Houston also needs a good all-around SG/SF like Giricek to compliment Ming and Francis. Someone who is a little less of a gunner.

Orlando needs a true center in the worst way. Cato has been an enigma his whole career, but playing in the size deprived East, I think he'd be capable of 15-12 a night with a couple blocks as long as he stays out of foul trouble. Orlando also needs someone who can score some points without Tmac getting them open. Mobley has no conscience and wouldn't mind getting some of his own shots instead of standing around watching Tmac play.

I think this would be a move that would help both teams. Not sure how the salaries would workout ... Orlando might have to throw something else in the deal to get it to matchup.

That trade would be awesome for Orlando:

PG- Lue
SG- Mobley
SF- McGrady
PF- Gooden
C- Cato

But Houston wouldn't do it. Too bad.

I wouldnt mind trading Howard and giricek at all although giricek is very good some games and alright the others..

I think Houston would. I think Houston would love to get rid of Mobley for someone better all-around, less of shot taker, and someone cheaper.

Cato has gotten better, but he still has a big contract and never seems to be in favor in Houston.

I dont know, maybe I am looking at this with some bias, but I think it would really help both teams.

I think Van Gundy is pretty high on Cato and likes to have another big starting beside Yao - trade looks pretty even though.
