Thumbs up Fastbreak basketball

It should be interesting to see how Orlando responds to the new fastbreak philosophy that Paul Westhead is trying to put in. I have my doubt they will be able to do it without a good passing fastbreak PG and without very good rebounding.

It is at least a good sign that the players seem to be excited about the changes.

IMO Orlando needs to turn the game into a crazy game .. trap on defense and do the Westhead fastbreak thing .. might mean more turnovers, but owell. Probably would also mean the bench would have to play more minutes, which is also a scary thought.

Haha, I agree with the scary thought of the bench with more minutes. I'm starting to be very skeptic of the Magic, and I still firmly believe that Gabriel should be fired but I realize that now probably isn't the best time...but if we want to make any use of the 2004 lottery pick which we look primed to obtain it has to happen. I believe Westhead was a good move, but why did we not higher him as the head coach? Or even hire Thomas? How about a young, promising coach with a different system? It seems as if the Magic are pulling a "Bulls move" here hiring from within the system.

The team should get some relief when Williams returns, but I still think that this season is lost. we need to win 15 games unanswered just to get to .500! Now if we pull this off, Davis should win Head Coach of the year...and Gabriel still fired.
