I've heard he is a really poor shooter. But he has other strengths such as good ball handling and good rebounding for a guard.

He played very well in the summer leagues but he hardly even played last season in Orlando.

Has anyone got any opinions on him? Will he improve or will he just be cut after another year??

With Darrell Armstrong getting older, will the Magic stick with Vaughn or give Sasser a chance at the point?? Or will he be backing up Tmac and Miller this year getting some garbage minutes in games??

Vaughn and Armstrong will be getting the PG minutes. I think Sasser and Hunter will probably spend most of the season on IR like last season.

My views on Sasser.. I still think Orlando could have selected someone much better, I really dont know what the hell they were thinking. Sasser's shot is terrible. He's got kind of a flat, chicken-wing type jumper. It is really bad.. and I dont think he is that great of a ball-handler from what I have seen.

Where he does excel is defensively and rebounding. If Sasser does make it in the NBA, it will be as a Bruce Bowen type defensive specialist, although those types rarely last at the guard spot.

Orlando should play him some minutes because he is a great rebounder at guard, but I doubt he will get much run.

Jacque and DA will man the PG spot, and Tmac/Miller/Hill/Garrity will share the minutes on the wings.. doesnt really leave any room for Sasser.

So you think he wasn't worth the 22nd or whatever pick in the draft??

I thought he had started to pick up his game after seeing his stats during the summer leagues, where he did quite well.

So what is the depth of the Magic at the guard spots??

PG: Vaughn/Armstrong
SG: Tmac/Miller/Sasser
SF: Hill/Garrity

Is that what the backcourt will look like??

Not that he wasnt worth it.. just that better player were chosen after him that could have helped Orlando some last season..

Jamaal Tinsley, Tony Parker, Brandon Armstrong, Gerald Wallace, Trenton Hassel, Mehmet Okur, Gilbert Arenas, Jarron Collins, Loren Woods..

All these guys IMO would have been much better players to select. Especially the first two.

Had Orlando kept Brendan Haywood and drafted Jamaal Tinsley (or Tony Parker) they would be a much, much better team this year.
