Looking at the list again, was that supposed to be your top college teams or just the college teams that have the most NFL talent?
There is a difference.
It is talent based because the best teams have the best talent, it is as simple as that. College football is a minor league for the NFL, and if teams have more NFL talent they are more likely to succeed. Not to many great football teams that have no one drafted in the NFL.
Team A can have more NFL prospects than Team B, but Team B could be a better team. I see it happen all the time. It is not uncommon, at all.
Yeah maybe, but give me a team with 4 NFL prospects and I will beat any team of just average players. There is a reason players get picked in the NFL draft, they are better than everyone else. So yes its talent based and that is one of the most important things, you can not name one top team in the nation that does not have talent up the
You are taking it to the extreme, saying a team with NO NFL talent and comparing it to a team with ALOT of NFL talent.
What I am saying is if you take a team with maybe 6 day one prospects, and the other team has maybe3 or 4. You can not just blindly say that the first team will be better this college football season. There are all sorts of variables that play a factor during the season. Take a look at South Carolina. They do not have that many day one prospects on their team. Maybe Simpson, and that's it. But they will be a good team and beat some teams that have more NFL talent. See what I'm saying?
Your list is just a list of college teams with the most talent. It is not necessarily the best ten teams in the country. It is close to it, but not the same thing.
Ok honestly ATLien, the only reason I believe you care so much about this is because I left Georiga off the list. However on your own list, you had Georgia 14th, so not in the top 10.
And I will say right now, the best teams in the nation most the time are the most talented. Sure you have underachievers but right off the bat that do not reach their potential, but most the time the best teams are the most talented teams. Talent wins games, great football players win games, not mediocrity in my opinion.
Great players do not always equal great teams. Sometimes players play outside the system to pad their stats to inflate their NFL stock. I've seen it happen. Every year that happens.
You can not just take the most talented teams and say, these are the best teams in the country. Look at Virginia. They have had tons of talent, but they haven't even won a conference title yet.
And about UGA, well UGA does have great talent, so obviously they do not fit in here.
