I have not listened to Avril's music for very long, but I must say her newest album Under My Skin is flat out amazing. Almost every single song is a joy to listen to and it literally changes the way I feel when I listen to that album

Her songs are songs with heart and feeling and I love her voice as well. She can sing with power and precision.


She has an amazing combination of punk rock and alternative music and it speaks to an audience not usually spoken to. She is great at writing songs and she can also play the gitar pretty well also. I personally like the songs that involve a wooden gitar the most but got to love the rock ones as well.



She is a beautiful girl as well with an wonderfully beautiful voice.

I think this one is a quality CD with a lot of good songs. Its not just her whaling away, there is a combination of pop music, soft music, sad music, happy music, and story telling music as well.

Here is the list of songs on the CD.

1. Take Me Away: Very good song, however I like the gitar version on AOL much better, on this one her voice does not pick up well, but overall its a good song. Overall the song is a 7 or a 8, if it was the version without the metal gitar it is easily a 9 or a 10.

2. Together: This is probably the weakest song on the CD, not get lyrics and I just don't get the vibe of it. Overall I would say its a 5 or a 4

3. Don't Tell Me: I absolutely love this song, it has heart and passion and it just sings to me. I would say this is a 10 or a 9 easy.

4. He Wasn't: This song has a nice pace to it, ok lyrics and it a solid song on the cd, again the version of it I have seen better, I think the load background music takes away from her voice, but I would say its a 7 or a 6.

5. How Does It Feel: I really like this song, its a sad song but her voice really sounds good in it and it has deep feeling as well, say a 9 or a 10.

6. My Happy Ending: I really like this song also, even though I have over listened to it, its a quality song, nice speed and her voice is strong is this one, I give it a 8 or a 9.

7. Nobody's Home: Its a solid song, not the best version of it though, the lyrics are great and the story is captivating but overall I give it a 6 or a 7.

8. Forgotten: One of the weaker songs of the CD, its ok but nothing special, one of the two that I don't like on the CD, I give it a 4 or a 5.

9. Who Knows: I really enjoy this song, great tempo and beat, her voice really takes thing one and runs with it, easily its a 9 or a 10.

10. Fall to Pieces: Another solid song, very fun to listen to, nice pace and tell a good story, I give it a 7 or a 8.

11. Freak Out: One of the few songs that are more metal, and its not all bad, some good solos in this song, her voice is more aggressive and its a solid song, I give it a 7 or a 8.

12. Slipped Away: A good last song on the CD, its a quiet sad song, her voice is great in it and its a good rap up to the CD, I give it a 8 or a 9.



I know Avril is not the most masculine of choices for CD's, but if you like songs that sound like they are from the heart, have feeling and are sung beautifully, you should get this CD.

Part of the reason I like Avril so much is because of her image. I personally find it really attractive how independent and confident she is, or at least how her image is portrayed in the media I find attractive. She has a attitude, is kind of sassy and I think that gives her a lot of sex appeal.

I kind of think her sex appeal would be even better if she showed more skin but honestly its almost better that she doesn't. Yes her main audience I believe is teenage girls, but if she wanted to expand that audience and show some more skin she would get more males interested in her music I think. I think it is honorable that she does not do that though and turn 'slut'. Becuase in the music industry, if a artist is attractive enough and can moderately sing, people will come and watch them not only because they can sing and perform but also because they are attractive.


Outside of this picture I do not see many images of her showing a lot of skin and its refreshing to see a beautiful woman in the media light actually leave something to the imagination.


As for the tie, well I honestly think it was a fashion statement and a rebellious action to gain attention. It made her stand out of the crowd when she started and honestly made people talk about her, and it is true any publicity is good publicity.



Be it the punk girl rebellious rocker, or the soft spoken and soft hearted singer, Avril can do it all in terms of style I think. Simply put, when she wants to be loud she can do that, and when she wants to be sensitive and put more feeling and heart into her voice she can do that as well.

I know I have commented on Avril’s beauty many times but the true thing that draws me to her is her voice. Her voice and lyrics truly sing to my soul. You know the songs that when you hear them physically changes your brain chemistry and makes you feel a high and gives you a new perspective on life. Well Avril’s music does that to me in so many ways.

The experiences and lyrics she has in her songs really hit a cord with me and I can relate to them. Honestly listening to her music is almost a coping mechanism for me, it is a way to express emotion just through sound and music. It is a wonderful thing.



I really can’t explain it, Avril’s voice goes so deep and is sung with so much expression and feeling, it is almost like she is bottling emotion with music and song.


And the best part about her music is, that it not only frees the spirit in a way of the people listening, but it also frees her spirit as well. It sounds like her music is from the soul because it is.

Her image is very tough on the outside but her music is almost the exact opposite, she sings about real human emotion that connects with a lot of people

Got her first CD "Let Go" awhile ago, it is wonderful, more upbeat than the 2nd and has some really good songs in it.


Avril's music encapsulates heat break extremely well. When you listen to it you can tell that she went through those feelings and I think that makes a connection between her and her listeners.






I hope Avril keeps on rocking for a very long time.
