LOS ANGELES (U-WIRE) -- T.J. Cummings has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2003 fall quarter, meaning the UCLA senior forward will miss at least the first three regular-season games.

"We expect our players to excel both in the classroom and on the basketball court," Bruin head coach Ben Howland said in a statement.

"T.J. knows what he has to do in the classroom to be eligible to play on the court. As a staff and team, we will support T.J. in his academic pursuits."

Last season, Cummings averaged 10.3 points per game and 4.9 rebounds in 29 games.

you'd think terry would keep on his behind about keeping his grades up

either that or a red flag would pop up on the weekly academic reports and something would be done

i don't get how athletes become ineligible at high-majors when you take into consideration the type of support structures they are surrounded in
