Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy received a commitment from Zach Fong (SG from Gar-Field HS in Virginia). Outstanding shooter, something needed for the Midshipmen.
He brings the Class of 2013 to nine. Direct Admit • Zach Fong (5-11 SG / Gar-Field HS) NAPS kids (coming for 2013-14) • Edward Alade (6-9 PF / Kempner HS, Texas) • Enouma Ebinum (6-9 PF / Roosevelt HS, Md.) • James Hawk (6-10 C / Tunkhannock HS, Pa.) • Kyle Quintana (6-2 SG / Cleveland HS, N.M.) • Marshall Forney (6-4 SG / St. Albans HS, D.C.) • Hayden Lee (6-3 SG / Antietam HS, Pa.) • Dan Mullen (6-2 PG / South Carroll HS, Md.) • Tim Abruzzo (6-4 SG / PennRidge HS, Pa.) Through the grapevine, Navy lost a player in T.J. Huggins (TC Williams HS, Va.) who could have been really, really good at Navy. Not sure where he is going now. |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy has offered Nnamdi Enechionyia (6-6 / 175) from the Saint James School (Md.) and Nike Team Takeover (AAU).
I have seen somewhere he was ranked the sixth-best small forward in the All-Met area, but can't find the source anymore. According to scout (and the Bucknell board), he has interest from Bucknell, Holy Cross, Mount St. Mary's, Princeton and Virginia... |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
• Navy has offered Austin Torres (6-6; SF from Indiana). Also has offers from Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI, Lamar and Northern Illinois.
• Navy has offered Justin Jordan (6-2; PG from North Carolina). Believed to first offer. He is Michael Jordan's nephew. Shoots like Michael with the leg-kick... http://www.ncsasports.org/mens-baske...justin-jordan4 |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy received a commitment from 6-9 Center Nolan Linville from Fraser, Michigan, yesterday. May do prep school (not sure), and if that is the case, he won't arrive until 2014-15.
As it is, Navy's 2013 class is. We have some serious height coming in; now we need some guards. • James Hawk (6-10 C; Pennsylvania) • Nolan Linville (6-9 C; Michigan) • Edward Alade (6-9 F; Texas) • Enouma Ebinum (6-9 F; Maryland) • Tim Abruzzo (6-4 G; Pennsylvania) • Marshall Forney (6-4; Dist. of Columbia) • Hayden Lee (6-3 S; Pennsylvania) • Kyle Quintana (6-2 G; New Mexico) • Dan Mullen (6-2 G; Maryland) • Zach Fong (6-0 G; Virginia) |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy has picked up a few more commits...
* Duke Doulphus (6-7 Forward from California) * Payne Andrus (5-11 Guard from Texas) I believe direct entries are now * Duke Doulphus (6-7 Forward from California) * James Hemphill (6-6 Forward from NC) * Zach Fong (6-0 Guard from Virginia) * Grant Vermeer (6-3 Guard from California) * Payne Andrus (5-11 Guard from Texas) * Mike Brown (6-4 Guard from Pennsylvania) I have heard good things about three NAPS kids in particular (Tim Abruzzo -- 6-2 guard; Edward Alade -- 6-9 forward; and Enouma Ebinum -- 6-9 forward). If those three work out, that gives Navy a nine-member recruiting class. AND... think of fans or parents that may want to travel and how taxing it is on them. You have it at one site, it's possibly one airfare, one hotel room, one rental car, etc... Colgate, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Army aren't exactly easy spots to get to with all the traveling that is possible. UGH! I am getting worked up at the short-sightedness of the PL. Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Updating Navy's recruiting efforts...
• Zach Fong (Virginia; 6-0 SG / Direct) • James Hemphill (North Carolina; 6-6 SF / Direct) • Grant Vermeer (California; 6-2 SG / Direct) • Duke Doulphus (California; 6-6 SF / Direct) • Payne Andrus (Texas; 5-11 PG / Direct) • Mike Brown (Pennsylvania; 6-4 SG / Direct) • Malcolm Johnson (Florida; 6-5 SG, SF / ?????) • Nolan Linville (Michigan; 6-8 PF / NAPS) • Chris Kinley (Pennsylvania; 6-6 PF / NAPS) • Shawn Anderson (Pennsylvania; 6-3 SG / NAPS) Also in pretty good on Easton Bazzolli (6-5 SG / Pennsylvania) and Tai Dozier (6-0 PG, SG / Georgia) Not sure on others. I am sure there are, but these are the ones that are public. From NAPS this year. The big man, Enouma Ebinum (6-9, 215) is VERY, VERY, VERY athletic and active. Had close to 15 points and 25 rebounds in a game vs. Comm. College of Rhode Island. Other big man, Edward Alade (6-9, 210) is not quite as solid as Ebinum, but built of the same mold. Lastly, Tim Abbruzzo is a strong shooter and will help some as well. |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy has picked up one more commitment. Tai Dozier from Atlanta, a 6-0 combo guard, who will be heading to NAPS.
NAPS team is going to be LOADED next year with Nourse Fox, Tai Dozier, Shawn Anderson, Malcolm Johnson and Nolan Linville. Navy is definitely trending upward. |

Re: Navy's 2013 Recruiting
Navy recruit, Malcolm Johnson, a 6-5 SF from Sickles (Fla.) was named the MVP of the ESBC All-Star Classic after scoring 21 points and scoring the game-winning tip-in with under a second left... The game featured 10 BCS level recruits (1 - Kansas; 1 - Arizona; 1 - Maryland; 2 - Virginia Tech; 1 - Providence; 1 - Boston College; 1 - Miami and 1 - South Florida). Zach Fong, a 2013 Navy recruit, also played scoring 15 points on 5 three-pointers.
ESBC Hoops @ESBCHoops 26 Mar @borntocompete @ESBCHoops @Cuse @USNavy 2013 ESBC MVP Syracuse commit Tasia Butler - North Point HS; & Navy commit Malcolm Johnson,Sickles HS Marcus Helton @MarcusHelton 24 Mar Im not going to tell @COACHMYERS_MMA how to do his job, but let Zach Fong shoot it LOL Marcus Helton @MarcusHelton 24 Mar It never feels like Zach Fong is going to miss a 3...he just drilled one in transition off a pass from CJ Hill. Good stuff. The trend continues to move upward for Navy Basketball. |
