Has AI Gained Weight?

When I look at the pictures on NBA.com, it looks to me that Allen's face and arms are thicker.

Did anyone else notice that, or is it just the photo. Any current pictures from another site?

There hasn't been a report, but he did say back when he came to the pre-summerleague practice, that he was weight training in the offseason. So that's probably a by-product of that.

It's good to hear he finally listened to the most constant recommendation people have been giving him.

I dont think its really bulking up but more conditioning. Sometimes when people start a conditioning program that extra toned muscle makes them appear bigger.

I agree with what Shaza said but it statements like"whats the point of AI bulking up", when posters constantly have said thats what HE needs to do.

Unbelievable

It's possible to bulk up, while keeping the same speed, they do it in football all the time. No one wants Iverson to bulk up to be the size of a world class body builder, we just want him to add weight to his frame so he'd be a little more durable to the blows he takes.

It's really a miracle he's lasted as long as he had with his style of play, and slight frame. Adding some muscle, would allow himself to be around longer. And then when his speed falls off, if Iverson wants to stay a quality player, he'll have to adjust and play the mental game much like Jordan did.

take a look at world class sprinters..they are massive with very low bodyfat...putting on muscle has nothing to do with speed, assuming you arent puttin on fat
