I found out that Skinner started over Dalembert because according to 76ers color commentator Steve Mix, Skinner has outperformed Dalembert in camp.

If Obrien is even idiotic enough to think that skinner is a starter in this league is rididuclous. Even in MIlwaukee last year his value was in coming off the bench. Who cares if hes out playing him in camp. It means nothing over the course of the season. Hell A few seasons ago when Aaron Owens from And 1 mix tour was in Sixers camp he was outplaying AI. He didnt even make the team or any team for that matter. Dont start off on the wrong foot Obrien

Well there's two schools of thoughts here based on this situation:

1.)He's using this as motivation to get Dalembert to work harder and to earn his starting spot, which is how I hope it is, because the only person who should be guaranteed a starting spot is Iverson.

2.)Dalembert is a young player who O'Brien doesn't feel comfortable playing so he won't start all season and will just come off the bench.

I really hope it's not the second one, but considering O'Brien's past it's not out of the question for him to not play younger players.
