FoxSports.com - 76ers live and die with A.I.

I pretty much agree with everything said in this article.

It's a solid article, but it doesn't really say anything that hasn't been said elsewhere (which I guess is expected with a season preview). I agree for the most part, except I don't want to see Brian Skinner starting after the way he's been playing in the preseason.

What has Brian Skinner done wrong in the preseason?

Hasnt this been the truth for the past 5 or so years though?
Big deal, I could have wrote this article.

He isn't playing as well as he was playing last year in Milwaukee. Both Dalembert and Jackson have outperformed him so far.

Well, he looked better in Milwaukee last season because he was the probably their best or second best big man behind Joe Smith. As a matter of fact Joe Smith even looked good in Milwaukee last year because they had no one else. On the Sixers almost all our big men are better than him so he's obviously going to look worse.

Having more depth does so much, but it doesn't make a player play worse. Skinner isn't playing as well has he did last year especially on the boards and defensively. He can improve on this, but he's going to have to do it fast to get minutes.

Maybe it's the defensive scheme, who knows. He's getting plenty of chances to prove what he can do. It'll be interesting to see where he'll be in the lineup next game.

Alos, let's remember it's only the preseason. Maybe he isn't trying his hardest and is taking it easy for the regular season because he is a hustle player and he needs the energy for the games that matter.
