we got absolutely slaughtered in the paint. But Dalembert didnt play tnite, so hopefully thats an excuse. Philly's D has been non exsistent so far.

Man, Willie Green got the nod in this one but it looked like he was jittery or something since he got his first NBA start in front of his home crowd. He's a lot better than he showed last night.

Dalembert wasn't playing because of a right hamstring injury, hopefully he'll be able to come back soon because we drastically need him.

I only had the chance to watch the first half, but I'll try and watch the second half later and throw in my thoughts on the game.

we need another legitimate scorer capable of putting up 20pts+ on any given night without taking 100 shots. Every good team in the NBA more than a player or two capable of doing that. Philly dosent, we don't even have a person that can do that.

Look at the top teams:
Pistons - They got Billups, Hamilton, Wallace
Spurs - Duncan, Manu, Parker
Miami - Shaq, Wade
T'Wolves - KG, Spree, Cassell
Rockets - Yao, TMac
Indiana - JO, Artest

List goes on. I know this has been sai many times, but we just need the second scoring option. Who is a genuine second scoring option in Philly? No one.

I just hope philly get ride of Robinson and find someone who fits into philly's offense better. We've got a good young team. But we are just missing a key component

We couldn't score in the paint at all. We need some size desperately.

I've never agreed with that on an Iverson team, unless he is the second option. Iverson needs the ball on such an erratic basis to be a first option, in ruins alot of second scorers' momentum. I think he needs 5-6 other people who can put put up 10-20 points on any given night.

No, he's actually saying exactly what Billy King and Jim O'Brien think.

Quote:
Second scorer: Both King and O'Brien said they are not worried about that second scorer developing as a one-two punch for Allen Iverson.
"I don't think it's going to be like a Shaq-Kobe, but I think it's going to be different guys who score off our defense in different situations," King said. "I think it'll develop. The funny thing is everybody always talks about that second scorer to Allen. I think when we were at our best, the year we went to the Finals, who was the second scorer on that team?"

Said O'Brien: "I don't think we're going to have a pure No. 2 scorer if you will. I think it has to be by committee."

I think that the only time Iverson could have true second scorer and be a title contender would be if he had one of the three great big men in the league: Shaq, KG, or Duncan, and then it would be more like having two first options. Either way, he needs guys that can catch and shoot/dunk, and with the exception of Korver and Dalembert, none of the sixers have shown they can do that consistently.
