76ers should trade for ron artest
In my opinion the sixers should trade for ron artest
he is just the sort of player(nba wise!!) that the sixers need and the fans would love him and his style of play and temperament
he is a perfect philly type player for sure
not every one will agree but thats my opinion
holla!

Can we get some basketball talk in here, instead of random trades?

My reply was based on the fact there's three new threas about trades. I'm fine with trade discussion, but when two of three threads are basically names being thrown out there, how far is it going to go? If it gets to a certain point, I'd have to start moving some threads to the trade board.
I wouldn't mind the Sixers trading for Artest, but it's something that Billy King already said he wasn't going to do, because he doesn't want Artest.
And nice one pointing out that game thread, it happens. Most 76ers fans on this board aren't from the area, so game threads during the week don't get many posts. I might be the only one posting here, but it's not going to be that way for long.

Your ridiculousness is not needed here. PhillyPhanatic goes out of his way to post Game threads for posters and fans of the 76ers and you come in here as if its some joke or something. How about this. When you post something anywhere along the lines of PhillyPhanatic as far as something being productive, then you can talk. Until then you seem, No your post seem to be nothing but Garbage and unfortunately I dont like reading trash

look anyone who puts as much effort into the sixers as philly does deserves credit but this is not the phillyphanatic forum,so when i post an opinion about ron artest i dont need him telling me what to post...you get me?
an if obi-1 has already said that he wont trade for artest then why has`nt mr philadelphia2004 already posted that fact....some of us have lives to lead and cant spend 24/7 reading articles on the sixers.
no man has the right to tell someone else what opinions to post and what not
read my initial post on this subject and tell me honestly whether there is any ridiculousness involved or just an honest opinion

I like it! That's what I alluded to earlier when I mentioned us sending Big Dog to Indiana because of all their suspensions. We're not going to use Big Dog this yr anyway, but it looks like Indiana will just ride out the suspensions b/c they would've made a move already. Also, I'm not sure how their contracts match up, but I'd be willing to eat a portion of Big Dog's contract to acquire Artest. Either Indiana's sticking with Artest or they're waiting for a better deal.
It would be something to look fwd to from a Sixer fan pt of view knowing that Ron Artest will be in your starting 5 next yr.
AI got us to our last championship but our team was also built around DEFENSE for those of you who do not like the trade.

I actually think Artest would fit, but I dont see it happening. I like him, he is a whacky dude, but he sells tickets, and creates commotion.
He is also one hell of a defender, and has really developed his offensive game (that impressed me)
I cant really see us getting him though.
He will probably end up a Knick like Sprewell did.

Hey,
I didn't think you would take it as me telling you not to post your opinions, so I apologize. My post was meant as an open ended question, because it was in your thread it appeared that I was going after you. I'm fine with trade talk, and threads about who people want.. but too many and things can get out of hand, that's basically what I was referring to.
FWIW, I don't search for Sixers articles 24/7, google is a person's best friend when it comes to finding articles.
