More than anything we need to get a pick in next year's draft. Chad Ford from ESPN Insider had a plan for rebuilding the Bulls, and it included a Kenny Thomas + Samuel Dalembert for Tyson Chandler + Othella Harrington and possibly a pick.

I'm not lying when I say, I'd take that deal in a heartbeat. I like Sammy, but Chandler's a better man on defender, and he's a hardworker and I'm sure with his work ethic Obie would find minutes for him. Othella is a throw-in, but I guess he adds size. What sweetens the pot here, is that Othella's contract expires after the season.

We wouldn't be under the cap, but we'd be closer with Harrington, Robinson, and MacCullouch's contracts coming off the books.

There's another rumor involving Vince Carter and Loren Woods for Dalembert and Robinson, but I wouldn't touch it.

Well I blame O'Brien a lot for Sammy's stunted progress this year because he was looking amazing at the end of last season. Then again I like Chandler a lot as well so maybe that trade doesnt seem so bad....

Exactly, I think Dalembert would thrive in a system where he's utilized a lot like Ben Wallace is in Detroit (in fact that's how we used him last year), but he's a terrible fit in this system where the defense collapses on the post.

I think Chandler would be a much better fit, and still has just as much room to improve as Dalembert.

yea i agree, Tyson is too injury prone, if that changes, getting him wouldn't be so bad

Dalembert's great trade bait, as it seems O'Brien just doesn't like the guy. Chandler and/or Curry are definite possibilities. Philly get also get an up and coming wing, or maybe even a real PG, which moves AI back to his natural position and Iggy can stay at the 3.
