Tyson Chandler
Do you think we should think about acquiring him? I saw Philly say that there was a previous trade involving him and Dalembert, who would you rate as the better player? In the six games where he's played 30+ minutes he's averaged 11.5 rpg (and in 3 of those games he's gotten 13,14, and 18) with about 10 ppg, he already has 19 rebounds tonite with 5 minutes left, Sammy averaged 14/14/1/5 at the end of the year last year, would anyone be interested in acquiring Chandler, or would u want to stick with Sammy?

As a Bulls fan (but with Philly being my local team, and my #2 team to root for), I love the trade. As a Sixers fan, it's less good.
They are both long, athletic centers that can block shots and crash the boards hard. They are both natural defenders, although SD is a better man and post defender while Tyson excels at help defense.
But Dalembert has a lot more offensive ability. Last time I saw him on national TV, it looked like AI loved to hook up with Dalembert for anything: entry passes to the post, alleyoops, whatever. With that kind of attention and confidence from a true team's captain, and with the ability he has and the sometimes soft touch around the hoop he's demonstrated, I think SD could become a really reliable third option on scoring.
Chandler will never have that. He has a supposed jump shot that he doesn't make in games, and he has notoriously small hands that doesn't allow him to grab the entry passes or jam the oop. Chandler, therefore, is able to dominate the stats in other areas because he just doesn't have much to offer in terms of scoring, and he never will.
Maybe one day he'll find some niche where he can spot up for a J, and he's actually always good for a put-back, but Dalembert is the more balanced player. I'd keep him over Chandler.
If Philly traded them Dalembert, Aaron McKie, Willie Green and a second rounder, and got back Chandler and Ben Gordon, it would be a more even trade. McKie and Green are marginal, but decent players, and Gordon is a great backcourt mate to Iverson.

I'm more resigned to the fact that Dalembert simply doesn't fit what O'Brien's doing, and instead of O'Brien changing the system to fit the players he wants to change the players to fit the system. So I'm all for a move.

If the Sixers could pull a trade like that off, I'm serious, when I say I'd put thought into turning around and trading Iverson before the trade deadline. Landing Ben Gordon and still having Iguodala would be a great coup, but the second round pick would be for a few years from now so I'm not sure how valuable that'd be though.

would u actually trade Iverson considering he's carried our team for so long, he loves the city of Philly and even said he doesn't want to leave. I think we owe him, and we should keep him, I personally would keep him for the rest of his career, hopefully win him a championship

In the perfect world, sure I'd want to win him a championship in Philly. In reality the team won't be able to build the proper team around him to get anywhere close to the championship. I think if we owe him anything, we owe him a chance to be successful, and running the gamut of slapping a team around him hasn't been successful since the core of the 2000-01 Eastern Champs team was ripped apart.
A lot of people probably won't agree with my point of view, but I've always felt that the front of the jersey is more important than the back, and while Allen Iverson has been great for this team and his number will eventually be retired.. but I look at it this way, if Moses Malone was traded not too long after taking the Sixers to the peak of the mountain top, I don't see why Iverson can't.
