Nice game, Iverson.
I'm surprised that with the high volume of "almost triple double" and first 5 minutes/first quarter/first half updates on every player who is happening to being doing well in threads we've had throughout the season, one hasn't been created about Iverson's game today.
Line: 40 points on 16-33 shooting, 10 assists, and only 3 turnovers in a 107-101 win over the Bucks.
That's an impressive line for anyone, but even moreso when considering how rare it is from a player like Iverson (low FG%, high # of turnovers).
I think he's been having a nice, if unusually quiet, season so far. The Sixers haven't been doing so hot, but none of that blame should fall on Iverson. He's having to be both the primary and secondary scorer for them along with having to take over point guard duties. He's having a great season considering the circumstances.

Great post. I agree, Iverson's season has been quietly a very good one. Once guys like Green, Thomas, and Korver can start to contribute a little more consistently, I think the Sixers will fare much better than they have been doing as of late.

Sub 40% shooters get no respect from me.
Although he actually shot 16-33 Fg not 14-33, according to both yahoo sports and ESPN.com.

Oops, typo. Yeah, 16-33 definitely makes it look sexier.

Actually AI is shooting over 40%. Kobe on the other hand is shooting under 40% and averaging more turnovers than Iverson. AI's also shooting a higher percentage than TMac.
But the wing player with the sweetest stats right now is definitely Lebron...dude's shooting 50%!
